What is the scenrio for losing Aaron to free agency? Does anyone know? I don't believe we can get higher than a 3rd pick, yes? What's it based on? When do we get it?

Why is Jerry Kramer not in the Hall of Fame?

They hand out the compensatory picks for this years FA next year before the draft. Since Kampy was injured pre-FA, I don't think we have any chance of getting a 3rd. 4th, 5th or 6th is likely.

I think that, with him being over the age of 30, we can't get more than a 5th, but I'm not sure about that.

They would not take into consideration his career, how well he plays next year, or the money he commanded in free agency? That would suck. I was hoping with having been a Pro Bowler, one of the best DE's and a good year next year we would get the max, 3rd rd.

I think that, with him being over the age of 30, we can't get more than a 5th, but I'm not sure about that.

I could have sworn someone posted a nice little nugget of info for players over 30, like if they have less than 10 years of experience that rule does not matter. Anyone remember this?
