This trade has direct ramifications for the Pack. There was a decent chance that the skins would take Clausen, even though I thought that was a bad move- they still need o-line help, BAD---

No way they don't take one of the 6 OT's. Of course it will be Okung.

I said that well over a month ago, but with the trade, now I'm gonna be right.

..Then you got the "boys releasing Flozell... look for them to try and trade into a situation to get one of the 6....

I'm coloring them gone at 23.

Okung, Bulaga, Williams, Campbell, Davis and Brown.

I would not reach for anyone on the board for OT at 23. Those are all "non- reaches", but sadly, gone, imo.

I would think they are excited - ie they really only lost a 2nd rounder ie no big deal and got a Great QB. Mcnabb actually looks like he wants to play hard for the skins.
I hope he does well there. Although I cant think of what they have on their offense to offer mcnabb. ie do they have a Oline or decent receivers?

Guess they will get Okung which is a real nice pick ... art monk still play there? ;)

Oh, man-- I have discussed this, but I'm not even sure the Lions are gonna pass on a left tackle prospect... The machinations are of course myriad, but I say that are all gone by our pick, and I say by pick 20. (gone-wise) Many possibilities, but I'm saying the most likely picks mean we are looking elsewhere. (sorry Wade)

I've read posts by Eagles fans indicating they're glad to see McNabb go, because now they won't have to continue to watch balls being thrown at the receivers' feet or behind the running backs. I'm not sure I buy it.

1. Trade up?
2. OG/C?
3. RT?
4. Trade down to get extra 2nd/3rd for OL?

I haven't said this, but I think all the emphasis on "getting a LT in the first round" is not the priority. The priority is "OL OL OL, repeat." :)

But of course I'm unduly pessimistic. I wouldn't be surprised if the Packers don't go OL until round 4 or later.

Oh, re: the thread's title.

I think this is a great move for Philly, and further proof that Dan Snyder has no clue.

McNabb is a second-tier quarterback with a great publicity machine and convenient stats. He's better than Jason Campbell, yes, but he is not as great as people think.

I'm convinced the only reason more people don't consider him an asshole is because he had the good fortune of being on the team when TO imploded. So he came away smelling like the good guy. When in fact the only reason he didn't come away smelling bad, was the magnitude of the stench coming from TO.

Sounds like another forum just a few years ago lol 😛 And people calling McNaab a 2nd tier qb please name me all these qbs that are better and won as much as he did with so little. All the guy does is win and not throw INTs.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

First tier quarterbacks: Manning, Brady, Brees, Favre in prime, Starr, Unitas, Kurt Warner, Staubach, et al.

First tier = put team on shoulders and carry it.

McNabb is not in that category. He's good. He's a bona fide NFL starter. He's not He's not top tier. Ergo he's second tier.

He's closer to Trent Green than he is to Brett Favre.

Second tier.
