Frankly, I think Colledge has a point. One can make a pretty decent choice that our line has been mismanaged and that it's retarded his development.

Ya know what... I have let this start to stew a bit inside me... and the excuse nonsense clause is about the only thing that really offends me in life.

I hear people using excuses to validate this or that.. or to cover up their own failings in life way more than I care to admit. It is bullshit... every f.... freaking time I hear it.

This happen or that happened.. I can't do this or I can't do that because of... some bullshit excuse they have.

I lost a leg, numbers of feet of intestines, broke 83 bones in my body, lived a life of pain from that day.. yet I have never used it as a crutch in my life.. you over come it and move on and succeed in your life regardless.

Then to listen to this type of excuse making from a professional athlete boggles my mind.. and why is he whining.. because somehow he feels dissed because he only got a second round tender. Still making over a million and guaranteed a job in this economic cesspool we currently are in.

You can kiss my ass... what a pile of garbage.

Shut your ass up.. use it as motivation to come back and prove them wrong... no instead you whine about it.. piss and moan and run from it... and you wonder why you get your ass handed to you on Sundays...

What a joke.

Let me ask you guys a question. Would Jennings be as good of a reciever is half the time he played TE?

You aren't going to be as good of a guitar player as you could be if you spend half your time practicing and playing drums.

He has a point however, it is what it is. DC, don't sign the tender then. Go FA next year and see how you do.

Well, switching him around between Guard and Tackle didn't do anything for his developement at Tackle because he can't play the position.

Secondly, had he had the talent to be versatile enough to do both and good enough at one to hold his own he wouldn't be sitting here talking about getting hurt by it and would definately be getting a big payday.

The guy has had plenty of time at Guard to play Guard. He has looked GREAT one day and TERRIBLE another. He's inconsistant and that's why he's sitting right where he should be.

I look at it as an opportunity to show more value and because he ultimately can't prove you can trust him anywhere it's now an excuse.

Today he is happy.

He is backstroking faster in the media than he does as a guard.

Daryn Colledge 'Very happy' with Packers' offer
If Daryn Colledge isn't happy with the Green Bay Packers, he isn't letting on.

The fifth-year guard wrote on his Facebook page this afternoon he "has been tendered by the Packers for next season. And unlike popular belief and what is written in the papers, I am very happy with the Packers offer, and if I'm back this season, I look forward to another playoff run and a shot at the title."

It is believed Colledge received the second-round tender, although that has not been confirmed. He's expected to compete at left guard with fellow restricted free agent Jason Spitz, who is the early front-runner.

He did not respond to a text message this morning.

I think we should sign a petition requiring him and his agent to camp out this evening at 1265 so he can sign his tender ASAP, lol

I think Daryn needs a Dakota kick in the nuts. Fuckin guy lets his man just walk in strip Rodgers of the ball for the game winning touchdown. End of season.

How many years have we been waiting for this momuluc to become a good player? Fuck him, and second rounder is too much. I'm not even voting in the poll this is so stupid.

Colledge denies he's mad at Packers

by Michael David Smith

Hours after a report surfaced that Packers guard/tackle Daryn Colledge was "furious" about being tendered by the team, another report said that Colledge is happy in Green Bay and not mad at the Packers at all.

WBAY in Green Bay is reporting that Colledge "vehemently denied" the report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and said it couldn't be further from the truth.

Colledge started all 16 games for the Packers in 2009, and according to WBAY, Colledge said that if he's upset about anything, it's that he didn't play well enough to earn a big free-agent contract.

Of course, it's possible that Colledge really is furious, but he realizes that he has little leverage as a restricted free agent and doesn't think he'll help his cause by taking his fury public. In any event, Colledge is almost certain to remain a Packer in 2010.

So he wants to leave, but he wanted a first-round tender. That's what I'm confused about. He has to be realistic. I highly doubt he believes someone will give up a first for him. If he wants to leave, he probably wishes he wasn't tendered at all.

It makes no sense.

Do players get paid more for a higher level tender? That's the only reason I can see him getting upset about a 1st rounder tender instead of a 2nd. Otherwise I think you're right, he's just pissed he got tendered at all.
