Nolan had offer from Packers last year

The final mystery of the Green Bay Packers' defensive coordinator search last year has been solved: Mike Nolan, the first candidate interviewed, was offered the job by coach Mike McCarthy.

Did anyone else see this? It's interesting not only that Nolan turned down McCarthy but Haslett and Gregg Williams too. That Capers was actually our fourth choice for the defensive coordinator position.

sounds like a nice term for being fired like last offseason when our ST coach "retired"

but thats just my interpretation

it seems like he asked to leave to Miami, according to "report" Denver basically knew there was tampering by Miami to get Nolan but didnt care to file any claims nor give Nolan a hard time to get outta there

Gregg Williams was offered more money by New Orleans to keep him specifically out of Green Bay. I forgot where I read that, but it was some time ago. I'm too lazy to look it up.

I didn't think Denver's defense was half bad. Nolan turned Elvis Dumervil into a real name, rather than just a badass name.
