Josh Cribbs is not a free agent, he has 3 years left on his rookie contract and is threatening to hold out, the Browns offered him 1.4 mil a year and he wants more money.

IMHO a return guy is not high on the list of needs, Packers would probably have to give up a couple of picks to get Cribbs(1 and a 3, or 1 and a 4), Ted's past record says he will not do this.

I see Jarret Bush's name is already being brought up as a guy who will not be with The Packers next year.

When are those of you who hate JB so much going to realize Bush has naked pictures of Ted Thompson and will leave only when he wants to go.

Unless Ted Thompson changes his philosophy, and goes after a couple of big name FA's, don't look for a whole lot of immediate help from draft day players to fill holes.
Ted Thompson hit on some good players last year, but if you take anything away from the Arizona game, when it comes to play-offs, experience if the biggest factor.

I do not want to be the youngest team in the NFL again, everybody that played this year should only get better, I really hope that The Packers become a team who doesn't have to rely on their draft picks to contribute right away, I want them to be a team who builds depth with their picks and hopefully Ted will keep coming up with gems that will be able to contribute in an emergency situation.

O-line...I am hoping Clifton and Tauscher each have one more year left in them, that will give The Packers the experience they need and time to develope Lang and whoever else is around.

The middle of the o-line is pretty solid, Wells will probably be the 6th man again next year, with the other guys fighting it out for the starting spots.

DB's are the main area I hope Ted Thompson will conentrate on early in the draft, there is no guarantee Al will be ready or even re-signed by the start of next year, and Woody is getting older, but hopefully he continues to be the best in the business for a few more years.

We should know by April what the status of Bustin Justin is, but IMHO it is time to move on and get another stud d-lineman to develope behind Raji and Pickett(who is the #1 guy to get re-signed IMHO).

I have ramble too long here, plenty of time to discuss strategy, my perfect draft would be for Ted Thompson to trade 2 or 3 picks for Upper tier guys and draft 4 or 5 guys with 3 or 4 making the team.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

I'd rather Thompson pursue Bobby April to upgrade our special teams rather than Cribbs.

And all the concern about the roster spot is interesting considering we can have a much larger amount of players during the off-season. Eventually we'd need to cut someone but anything can happen between then on and now.

So I guess we have no confidence in Will Blackmon?

The guy has to find the field before I have any confidence in him! I think its the time to cut ties with Blackmon. Guy can play well...But its useless..He WONT play because of injury.

He's 26 now, 27 by next year, I just don't see it.

Now Marshawn Lynch on the other hand could probably be had on the cheap (3rd round pick). Low risk high reward type move there.

That's a high risk move. He's not a Packer person period. His off field problems are not worth it.

I don't think we need Cribbs. There are other options the Packers will come across and as far as the money he is asking for, a KR/PR returner and 5th string receiver doesn't deserve the money he is asking for.

Chances are Browns meet his unfortunate wants. And we always talk about Packer people...Cribbs is not one of them.

Marshawn Lynch is DEFINITELY not a fit here.

Cribbs is a great player, but unless the Packers can open up their playbook and get real use out of him it's not worth it. If they ran some Wildcat at all, then I could see the sense in it, but I don't know that as a receiver he's as good as Jones, and maybe not even as good as Nelson (tough call there, though).

He deserves one hell of a lot more than the Browns are playing him, in terms of what he's done for that team. Other than his return skills, though, I don't see him being a good fit in Green Bay.

Lynch - I wanted them to draft this kid, badly. But after seeing his act in Buffalo (I'll forgive young men some things, but hit and run is beyond the limit), I wouldn't want to see him in green and gold.

If they're spending for free agents or making trades (which I'll believe when I see it), that money needs to go for safety and o-line help, in my opinion.

Even if the deal was made i personally feel that cribbs wouldnt suit GB. i feel he would want the bigger city and wouldnt get the pitch time for the price. I agree that the current KR/PR leaves alot to be desiredbut i feel that there are other holes that need to be filled.

Cleveland is not much of a "big city"....Ohio to many is known at the armpit of America (no offense to anyone here, my wife is from Cleveland). Anyways, thats just to show that the "big city" isn't an option he has now in Cleveland. Maybe he wants a big city team though.

In the end, if he came to Green Bay he would be upgrading coming from Cleveland in my opinion.
