Looking like we're facing the Cards in the first round. My question is do we rest our players last game?

I think it would be better to get a rested up team w/ Flynn getting more reps and time. Could be good for the secondary too.

I think the starters should play at least the first half and maybe into the third quarter a ways. Treat it like the third preseason game. There is still plenty that they need to work on.

If the Packers and Cardinals are on a collision course for the first round of the playoffs, this game will be very awkward. Neither team will want to waste any good game-planning, and it's quite possible that neither team will want to win the game, as the losing team will have an easier time getting that "edge" going into the playoffs.

This is looking like it could be a pointless game, although I'm certainly not complaining. My main concern will be staying healthy and putting up some decent stats. Donald Driver needs four more yards for 1,000. I bet they throw one of those quick outs to him early in the game so he can get it.

I say we just let Rodgers pad the stats a bit for the first half. Run hard with Grant and let Driver and Jennings spare time.

On defense we just play base packages. No point getting exotic and letting Capers show Whisenhunt everything. The guy is an offensive genius.

And you play your starters a bit, a half tops.

Run the ball. A lot. Every play, if need be. Don't give the Cards anything.

Oh, and get Woodson out of the game ASAP. I'd prefer if he not play, but that is not Woodson's style I'm betting.

There is one scenario(I have it posted in"road to playoffs" thread), where The Vikings would drop to #4, which would set up a Packer/Viking rematch. Funny, one of the things that needs to happen is The Packers lose to Cards next week.

A lot of things need to happen, so far they all have.

Um buckeye, the Packers are now 29-18 over the past three seasons, with two playoff appearances. That's a lot better than .500.

I wouldn't agree with the sig even if the Packers really were playing .500 ball. Thompson has zero charisma. He couldn't convince anybody of anything that was not true. He will live or die by his results.

This almost gives us a bye week to rest up, I saw we take advantage of it.

It's going to give me some fantasy football headaches, but I would allow the backups to show us what we have and get some regular season tape on these guys.

But MM and Ted Thompson keep their jobs based on wins and losses and I wouldnt want to toss a game away. 11-5 sounds better than 10-6.

Players we can rest that are dinged up, I would like to see rested. Run things like the 3rd preseason. Play the starters for a half the pull everyone you can. We are still going to need to play WR and DBs because we don't have the depth to play 5 wide and nickle and dime packages without them.

We also need to get Driver 4 yards for sure.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
