Oohh.. So much hate! LOL

First off, Heather, thanks for posting!

Second.. There were 2 reported instances where it was 'REPORTED' that Chilly tried to pull/sit Favre. They were reported wrong. One instance, Chilly was pissed off that Favre checked into a pass play instead of sticking with the original run play, so Chilly stormed to Bevell and told him to bench Favre. Bevell said, (and I'm paraphrasing here) 'You can't do that.. That's a bad decision.. Let Brett run the offense.' In that instance, Chilly was coaching with his emotions rather with his head. In the 2nd reported instance (the most popular one), Chill told Favre that he was 'THINKING' about sitting Favre. Because Favre was getting his ass kicked (and he was.. Peppers was all over him). Favre argued his point. Like Zero and I believe LTF stated, if Favre didn't mention that to the media, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Poor PR move by Favre.. but it happens, and it's not the end of the world.

I heard there was a third time Chilly tried to pull Favre, but I don't know any of the details (or even the game that it supposedly almost happened).

Riiiiiiiight. Look, bottom line, the story would have leaked out and both Favre and Childress would have been viewed as trying to hide the "distension" and it would have created an even bigger story. Favre isn't gonna sugar coat the truth in case people haven't been paying attention for the last 18 years.

Some of these posts are funny to me. Who cares whose telling the truth on what happened. I believe Brett Favre should have stayed in, they needed to get some kind of chemistry going down the stretch before the play offs started, and with Brett Favre staying in for the Bears game, they did that, and then having a blow out with the Giants will help to. The Giants game Brett Favre was pulled out in the 4rth quarter and he was fine with that. I think this was all blown out of proportion.

What I find funny, is your allegiance to ONE player no matter what he does, he's GOD. Now that is funny right there! Har, Har, HAR!

You're going to use the Giants game in your argument? Really? Game well in hand and he's still in the game and you're okay with that?

At least you're consistently kissing his ass no matter what he does.

(btw, the backup qb came in with only FIVE minutes left in the game, a game that was 44 - 0 against a team that everyone knew stayed in the hotel room)

I do like that the Vikings pounded their opponent. I don't like it when teams back off or play it soft. Play to win, that's what they did.

My question is this. How can any mature adult be okay with what Brett said after refusing to be yanked out of a game? Whether he's right or not, blasting his coach in public in the manner he did is disrespectful and only gave more credence to the stereo type of him being egocentric and thinking he is bigger than the HC, the team and the game.

The sad part? Some idiots fall for it to this very day. Face it Favre'ites, since Big Irv passed, Favre has changed and for the worse. I won't wait for your reply because I know it won't come with any objectivity as shown by posts from ya all in the past.

[Hey, that was my first Favre rant of the new year! woohoo] ;)

Zero, the bolded is soo damn wrong, it's stupid. T-Jack jumped in the game with 3 or 4 minutes left.

In the 3rd quarter.

Just so you know, there's 4 quarters in an NFL game. And in the event of a tied score by the end of the 4 quarters, there is a sudden death OT quarter. In now circumstance whatsoever is there a 3 quarter game. Just wanted to clear that up for you. =)

Now, go ahead and get pissy again, sweet heart.

lol Heather runs to ANYONE who remotely agrees with her and smooches up to'em. It's like clock work. Oh what someone agrees with me, I better add to it quickly!!!!

Just giving you a hard time Heather 🙂

And what the hell was I thinking? I'm not sure why I put that Favre left with only minutes left in the game, I even double checked it and SEEN that it was in the third quarter. The damn year is not even two weeks old and I've made a month's worth of stupid comments! w00t Guinness here I come!
