I've always wondered about Giacomini. His size is amazing but I've never really got to see him play. The Packers obviously see something in him because they keep sticking him on the 53-Man roster despite never playing. It stumps me a little bit.

I am wondering how all these people who know Breno can't play it have seen enough film on him to be able to tell anything about the guy?

I have a feeling they will have a Rookie at LT next September.

I just want to make it clear... I'm not saying he can't play... just that I think (which I've been know to be wrong before)... I'm just saying I think RT fits he's skill set a lot more than the left side.

As for LT why not Lang? ... no one other than Allen has beat him... heck a lot more people have made Clifton look horrible this year than Lang.

Exactly... People seem to be selling Lang short.. IMO.. he has some of the best early footwork I have seen from a Packer olineman.. he doesn't lack quickness, agility or strength.. does he have all the measurables? Maybe not.. but the kid is just a solid competitor..

As for being beaten by Allen.. tell me how many Rookie lineman wouldn't struggle with him?

I don't see GB being able to draft a starting OT this year. They will be in the mid to high 20's (#23 now).
I did a quick look at about a half dozen 2010 draft sites. There are not a lot of OT available in the 20-30 range.
I don't know how likely it will be to get a OT in the 2nd or 3rd round and have him start. Especially on the left side.

So it is either pick up a free agent or work with who they have now.

I think there are a lot of OTs in 20-32.

Russell Okung - Top 5
Bryan Bulaga - 10-20
Charles Brown - 10-20
Bruce Campbell - 10-20
Anthony Davis - Late 1st
Trent Williams - Late 1st

Hopefully we'll be able to grab one of those.

You never know. Oher was mocked as high as 9th to us, and fell to the 23rd spot, only to become an immediate contributor at RT.

I'd prefer to take an O-linemen in the first, but I don't want us to reach. If there's a good OLB, Corner, Safety etc. I'm fine with that, as well. As long as we do spent a second or a third on a guy like Carimi later on.

It's obvious that we don't have a left tackle to follow up Clifton at this point. I just don't think that Lang's ceiling is that high.

A wild card pick in the late first would be a guard. They usually don't get drafted very high, so we could get a premier player for relatively little money. That might be the end for Colledge, though.

If Mike Iupiati fell to us he would be a nice pick, but I still think that no matter how much reaching would have to be done, we need to take an OT in the first round.

I think we will grab an OT in the first round too but ideally t Lang and Babre will have evolved as solid starters next year and we can play with some depth and long term talent for our line.

One important piece of this puzzle that I wonder is if Campen has the ability to develop this solid o-line. Lets face it. Having your new franchis QB have the most sacks through week 12 is not a stat to be proud of as oline coordinator. Is there a possibility that his job is on the line in the offseason?
I think this question needs to be answered first before we can consider our O-line makeup for next year.
