I was thinking about how deep this draft is. You can get, what normally would be, 1st round talent halfway through the 2nd. Next years draft looks to be a very thin one.
How would you guys feel about trading away our first in 2011 for a 2nd in 2010?
It looks pretty realistic that either Sergio Kindle, Jahvid Best, Jerry Hughes or Nate Allen will be available in the top of the 2nd. If you can pull off a trade with the Browns, for instance, you're bound to get one of those guys.
Now, normally I'm not for trading away a 1st next year for a 2nd this year. I hated what the Broncos did last year. The Broncos would've had two top 14 picks this year, instead of a CB in the 2nd in a shallow draft. This draft is so deep, next years draft is so thin and our 1st next year shouldn't be that high a pick, however.... It all comes together perfectly.
Of course, you do have to find a willing partner to pull this off. That might be the hardest part.
