I remember in the off season there was talk here that T.T. needed to dip into his bag of cash ans sign Julius Peppers and or Albert haynesworth. Needless to say I am so freaking happy he did not make an offer that Carolina would have taken. Or listen to many here that wanted Haynesworth as well.

This is an interesting op-ed from fos sports. Kind of glad there is not a name on this list from the Green Bay Packers.

Albert Haynesworth has played well (though not up to expectations) according to Skin fans. He commands double teams constantly, allowing more room for guys like Andre Carter and Brian Orakpo to get sacks. I find it funny how we critisize a guy who doesn't have a great stat line, yet Pickett is praised by us.

Nobody is criticizing Haynesworth but he would have been a pretty worthless signing looking back on what we have at the moment. Same with Canty. Probably the best "big name" FA signing (the ones everyone complains about us not getting) we could have gotten this offseason was Dawkins (I think he was a FA) and that would have just been a luxury not really necessary.

I think that if we have a thread titled "Peppers talk" it's only fair to have one titled "Salts talk".

Can't complain too much about Peppers this year. The guy has had a broken hand for the past 5 weeks. I would think that would affect anyone's ability to be a playmaker.
