Seriously, though, the loss aside, I think the vikings showed a bit of character in the second half at least. After the first half I expected them to lay down and die, or Childress to go completely boneheaded, or Favre to revert to "chuck it and pray." None of those things happened. They lost; and, IMO, deserved to lose, the game. But I thought they played the second half like a playoff team.
There's another thread on AP v. Ryan Grant. I'm not going to get involved in that, but if I were Childress I know what I'd do next week. I'd start Chester Taylor and give him 90 percent of the first quarter snaps. And maybe of the second quarter, too.
