Yes, at the moment, Favre is great enough to overcome the weaknesses in the Minny running game. Hey, who woulda thought you would be thinking this a few months ago.

Yep. And maybe if brett could play cornerback or help Jared Allen get some pressure on the qb. Or maybe if Brett could play special teams coverage. Damn, all Brett can do is throw the ball. Or maybe if he would have had the foresight to know Fumbles All Day was gonna give the game away. Shoulda just stayed retired.

When it was the running game, Jared Allen, the special teams contributing most to the wins earlier in the year, it was Brett who was given credit for them. Now when things aren't going so well, we hear how Brett doesn't play defense, special teams, etc ... ironic.

That's not irony, this is irony: Brett Favre, notoriously known as a tough guy legend, being helped to his feet several times by the head official as if he were a helpless grandma in the nursing home. What's next, someone tells Chilly how to run his kick ass offense?

APs himself fumbles, and it costed the BRETT FAVREs 6 points.. In OT.

Favre threw a 4th down 6 yard TD pass to tie the game with less than 20 seconds for the BRETT FAVREs.

Guess what? A QB fumbles every now and then.. And every now and then, the opposing team take advantage of the turnover.

I don't mean to harp on you, personally LTF. I'm just sick of the Favre haters (not here, but everywhere in general.. I have many friends IRL that blame every negative thing about the Vikings on Favre), so I've no long refer the Minnesota Vikings as the Minnesota Vikings. From here until further notice, they are now known by me as the BRETT FAVREs.

Uhh, Bretts been carving up everyone all season long except for 2 bad games vs carolina and Arizona. Fumbles all day and the running attack has been decent most of the first half of the year but it hasnt been some kind of dominant running game at all. The defense in the first half of the year got pressure vs the qb and stopped the run for the most part but has been vulnerable to good passing attacks all year pretty much

Agreed. The only thing consistent about the Vikings this year is Favre, Rice, stout run defense between the tackles and harvin making key plays. Every other area (pass protection, run blocking, fumbles all day, berrian, pass defense, special teams coverage) has been inconsistent. Sometimes good, sometimes garbage.
