Plus EVERYONE now knows that he had to pay her off to stay.
Trying to "buy back" his image.
Too late Tiger........you lost it. You will never get the respect people had for you back.
It's a shame too. Alot of kids looked up to him. Now what they see is a typical cheating man.
To those that much is given, much is expected.

So is this really a marriage or just an really long "trick" Pretty Woman style of some sort?

IMO, it seems like that if you have to pay here to stay.. why bother. It isn't like that is going to be a healthy situation to raise the kids in.. try explaining that when they get about 10.. lol.

That's exactly what I thought. The only thing I can think of that could be said to make this 'less' bad. Is her coming out saying she requested the change in the prenuptial for the better of the kids in case they do divorce, he breaks his ACL and is forced to retire and can't pay much in child support or something like that.

Basically, somehow explaining that it was mainly for the kids well being. I'm not saying USE the kids as an excuse, I'm saying IF they were the motive behind it, explain that. Not many will believe it, just like some think the Packers tried to buyout someone else when that wasn't the truth.

no amount of money, my friends...NO amount of money!!

i cannot imagine 'forcing' my husband to stay with me in such a way. either he's here or he's not - end of story. money does not, will not, & cannot buy you self-respect. she needs to cut her 'losses' & leave OR stand by their original prenup.

It's all about the money Jules. I guess i can't blame her. Tiger broke the marriage vows, so he has to pay.
But i sure wouldn't trust the guy if i were her. I mean, how COULD she ever trust him again?
The world's greatest golfer.......and lousy husband.
And he's pissing and moaning because his home is being watch by the press. Uh.......you make millions of dollars, because you chose a career that puts you smack dab in the public eye. Now, because you are a cheating scumbag you expect to be left alone?
That train left the station long ago.

Tiger broke the rules of the marriage, yes, he should have to pay, not out of his pocket by something far more valuable, losing his wives hand in marriage. That should be how he pays, not financially.

I don't blame him for taking a mistress. For all we know, their marriage is largely for show and they hardly ever had sex. We also don't know what exactly the rules, stated or unstated, of their marriage were. (Peyton Manning, for example, is widely reported to be in an open relationship.) I just fault him for not being honest about it. A man reportedly worth over $2 billion shouldn't have to sneak around. "Look, babe, I'm young, I'm rich, I'm good looking. I love you very much, but I'm not ready to be exclusive just yet."

Hell, if a broke dick like me could pull it off, there's no reason in hell why a billionaire celebrity shouldn't be able to!

IF & that's a BIG if - they have some sort of 'open' relationship, there's no way in hell she's getting any extra money so that's clearly not what happened here. it's amazing how men justify having affairs by blaming the wife for not having sex enough with him. pitiful. i'll never understand why men think they have some sort of monopoly on being sexual. if you think women can't be sexual beings, you're missing out - BIG TIME!!!
