This whole "non-reviewable" stuff has ALWAYS rubbed me the wrong way.

I just want them to get it right. I don't care if it slows down the game. Christ ---these games encompass about 48 hours of our lives over the span of a season. I think Rock and I have spent that long arguing over some esoteric draft choice for two days this past February.

I don't think I have ever heard anyone here bitch when something hosed us because it got unscrewed via a review.

Just get it right...

It really is simple, equity-wise. All the rest is mostly the NFL version of politics.

There definitely is a penalty for stopping a game when you have nothing to use. I recall it happening to Jon Gruden when used a "fourth" timeout. Unlike today though, Gruden was penalized immediately.

I went to the Dallas Morning Herald website after the game. I will preface this remark by acknowledging that a typical Cowboy fan would look to the JSOnline site, or the GBP Gazette site and draw a very "skewed" perspective of a "typical" Packer fan. (Cannot blame them)

They are going nuts about the "shitty"/"Crappy"/[insert derogatory description here] officiating of that game.

I know everyone does it. Cripes, the Vikes fans do it when they win, for God's sake.

They have (The Cowboys fans) have a lot of legitimate beefs, this game. They are also so very unused to this kind of thing happening to them (opinion) that it is driving them crazy.

All I can say is that the vitriol has extended to us as fans. They are that mad about it. Go look for yourself when you get a chance. Google Dallas Morning Herald. Read the comments. At a minimum, you will get a better appreciation of why I hate those fans and team so very much.

They still have a point. We got some MAJOR breaks in that game from the officiating, at critical times. I thought it was as significant as it gets.

That being said...

Fuck 'em. Shit happens. Could not happen to a more shitty fanbase. KMA Cowboys, and fans.

Thank you for sucking, officials, and Wade called it from the start when he heard what crew we had.

They can complain about there not being a penalty on the bogus challenge all they want. They were given a break when the refs even called that play a catch.

Two bad calls, and it couldn't happen to a nicer team :D

Seriosuly, though, they botched the fumble ruling which really should be reviewable. That wasn't a scrum. It should have been reviewable on the grounds that Jones was down by contact. I agree with Dfoster. Get the call right. The second one I was cringeing at live because I was expecting the penalty for delay of game. The refs blew that call.

The dirty secret about the NFL officials is that there are a lot of incompetent ones who they won't fire because they have tenure. If they didn't limit the number of challenges, it would be pretty eye opening just how many calls they blow each week. You have middle aged men trying to keep up with top athletes, and it's just not possible. Between gross incompetence and being unable to keep up with the action, they need to find a way to improve the officiating. Firing Walt Coleman and Ron Winter would be a good place to start.

Some of you do not get it. You cheer today because it did not affect the win, you will bitch and complain when he throws the flag and it hurts us in a game for stupidity (ie Nelson's TD). Wasted timeout for no reason.

I thought I said this twice before. I'll say it again.

What was the consequence of the third challenge being called? Nothing. What did it do to the Cowboys? It stopped their momentum.

Bonehead call or not, it gave the defense a breather and slowed down the Cowboys offense.

The refs screwed up a few times in my opinion.

On at least 2 occasions the Cowboys lined up a TE on the left hand side of their line with 2 w/r on the left side as well. The nearest w/r was on the line as well as the t/e making him inelegible to go downfield but on both occasions the te went out to receive a pass. Romo didn't throw in his direction but the boys should have been flagged for ineligeable down field.

I remember Woodson getting flagged earlier in the season for contacting an ineligeable wr downfield.

On the play the cowboys were flagged for inelegible o/l downfield Romo was at least 1 1/2 yards past the line of scrimmage when he threw the ball.

It's just inconsistencies which are driving me mad.

i gotta agree with packer98 as well - it's easy now to say there were no consequences & we won.

had we lost, trust me, this would have been an issue.

even if it hadn't truly affected the outcome, it STILL would have been an issue.
