IMO the bolded statement is a joke. Nothing personal

Rodgers is a better QB than either Ryan of Flacco, even though I like Ryan alot, and Flacco some. Ryan had the #2 rushing attack. Falco had the #4 rushing and #2 defense. I would have more wins than Rodgers.

Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan ARE there. They are on winning teams, winning games and putting together great drives (i.e. Flacco v. Favre - he put them ahead until Favre came back and then again after that). Plus they are in their SECOND year in the league. Rodgers at least got to sit behind Favre and learn a bit.

They are winners, that is ALL I mean. I am not saying if you put them in a QB Challenge in Hawaii, they would win. I just find it hard to argue that if your down 24-20 in the 4th quarter, you would take Rodgers over Joe Cool or Matty Ice (at this point). But thats just opinion and you can see it differently.

Cassell was 11-5 with a winning team. Put him on a bad team and where is he. 1-6. So last year he was a winner and apparently forgot how in the off season. I don't buy it.

You keep looking at W-L to determine a good QB. I will actually watch them play.

We've debated that eight games thing and proved it was not accurate.

Ok, I just took it from the article. But I don't get why its impossible that he has some flaws:

It's not impossible that he has flaws. He's a 2nd year starter, flaws are inevitable and if you read what I've said about him, you'd know that I don't think he's perfect as I've pointed out several mistakes of his.

You stated it right. They are on winning teams. Joe Flacco has the fricken Ravens defense and Ray Rice. Ryan has Micheal Turner. Just look at his stats when Turner gets shut down. Pretty much like last week.

As for the Flacco vs. Favre thing... that is the exact same thing that Rodgers has done multiple times, only for the defense to give up some huge plays or Crosby to miss a FG.

So he has Greg Jennings and Donald Driver? So what? Then no one should compare a QB to any other QB because they are not playing on an even playing field? Do you even know who Flacco's receivers are?

If Jay Cutler had Greg Jennings and DD, he'd have much better numbers. But he doesn't and bottom line is that Rodgers is playing better than Cutler IMO.

If Favre had Torry Holt and Issac Bruce, he would have been better. If Favre wasn't 40 and was 27, he'd have a better season this year on the Vikings. Who cares?

You can honestly say that if the game is on the line, your down 24-20, you would take Rodgers over Flacco and Ryan (at this point in their careers)? Those guys are as cold as ice dude. When I mean I think they are "there", I am saying they have that in them to put the game on their back, to win tough games, take risks, etc. which I don't think Rodgers has yet. That is all. I am not saying Rodgers is Jamarcus Russel.

Your talking about a guy that took over for a 16-0 team and playing for one of the top 3 coaches of all time probably with Randy Moss. To going to the CHIEFS, so yeah there is probably a difference. PLUS he's MATT CASSELL! Obviously he cannot just go ANYWHERE and win. He's Matt Cassell. I could see if you took a Brady or a Manning or a Montana or Young or Favre or something but Cassell? Last year Favre went to the Jets who were 4-12 and they went 8-3 at one point before the injury ON a team with MANGINA coaching.

I don't look just a W-L, I look at play too but a lot of time your play determines your W-L. Come on dude, that first half against hte Vikings was HORRIBLE. He was jumpy, he was holding on to the ball, he was overthrowing people. We were down 24-3 with 3 minutes into the 2nd half, you can't expect to win those games. And we still got the ball with 31-26. So I do watch the games and I still think that this is a weakness in his game. But thats just my opinion like its your opinion that its not a big deal.

If we were down 24-20 and needed to throw the ball to win, Hell yeah, I would take Rodgers over Ryan and Falco.

May not be able to name them all, but Falco does have Mason and Heap to catch the ball. Falco has been sacked 12 times he has a running game and a line that give him time, and he cannot match Rodgers.

No I am just proving that W-L is not the QB. It is the team. If it was just the QB, there should be no difference in Cassell last year or this.

The first half of the Viking game was terrible, because McCarthy was calling plays that played right into MN hands. When he started calling better plays, Rodgers was able to play.

LOL Twins!!

I saw this on espn

it doesn't matter if the running game is pathetic, the special teams are pathetic, and the overall discipline of the team is 15 penalties a game pathetic-the wins and losses are the measure for Rodgers......

The offensive line is, of course, the wild card in this equation. No young pocket QB is going to win a lot of games behind that line. You need an experienced QB who can get the ball out quickly or a scrambler who can move and make plays. Wasn't that the whole reason Dallas went to Romo over Bledsoe a few years ago? That said, out of Romo, Rodgers, Schaub, Flacco, Alex Smith, and Ryan, I would rank them Schaub-Flacco-Rodgers-Ryan-Romo-Smith (and I only threw Smith in because of his recent play). All of those guys are really close, and all are talented QBs. Rodgers' decision making is a little behind Flacco's right now. Romo could be at the top of the list except for his lack of consistency. Smith looks better than he did when he was thrown to the wolves behind that awful line initially. Schaub is the best right now, but in a few years Flacco and Ryan are going to be the top two QBs of this generation.
