Don't get me started on beauty contest voting, Zero.

The notion that the NFL has that we can decide a season's top players after less than half a season is ludicrous to me. And I really get upset when the stupid selections get made before even the regular season is done.

Makes no sense to me.

Sorry, I vote to not vote.

While I can sympathize with Wade and 93z.. I have to respectfully disagree.

Lets boil this down to the reason the NFL has a Pro Bowl. It has zero implications on the NFL preseason, season, or post season (MLB has it's All Star game to determine which league gets home field advantage).. So, I ask.. What is the reasoning behind it? Do players get THAT much of a monetary bonus for going/playing/being MVP? I don't think they do.. especially since there have been scores of players recently that decline the invitation (Brady/Moss).

The Pro Bowl is exactly what Wade and 93z claim it as.. A popularity contest. Ultimately, we the fans/consumers are the ones that determine how popular the game itself is.. Therefore, we the fans should have a say in who we want to see play. Regardless of which player 'deserves' it. If people/NFL players/media want to see Favre in the Pro Bowl, deserving or not, then so be it. If it's what the majority wants..

I'd be upset too, if the game actually had any serious implications to the season, about the popularity/beauty contest that the voting is. But, it's not important. It's fun/entertaining.

And more football. And I can't turn down more football.

Want a Pack93z truth.. I have never watched an entire Pro Bowl.. watered down exhibition for 90% of the players.. no thanks.

It is an honor of sorts.. but little past that in my book.

I don't make time or go out of my way to watch the Pro Bowl, but if I have the chance, I'm definitely watching it. I think AP's rookie season was my first time watching the entire Pro Bowl in many years (used to watch it all the time when Moss was in purple).

I think getting to the Pro Bowl is just a stat for a player, like player x is a y-time pro bowler. I'm voting probably after every week.

Oh quite your whining already! We know what the Pro Bowl is, get past that. Vote for your players. We know it's a popularity contest. So, let's show how popular the Packers are, VOTE!

My lord you people.

I'd rather see Packers win a beauty contest than not win it.

Packers, WIN. That's it. So VOTE! 🙂

Zero2Cool (12-Mar) : oops meant $10m cap hit
Zero2Cool (12-Mar) : And pre june is $10m savings

dfosterf (12-Mar) : What they are offering is a left over case of Leinies from the Chippewa Falls plant

dfosterf (12-Mar) : Current cap space 29.6 million.
dfosterf (12-Mar) : Hobbs 2025 cap hit just under 6 million. Banks 2025 cap hit just over 9 million

beast (12-Mar) : Yes, the Ravens have draft picks

Zero2Cool (12-Mar) : Eric Stokes signs with Raiders
Martha Careful (11-Mar) : Tyler Linderbaum C
Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : Cap space?
Zero2Cool (11-Mar) : Do Ravens have anything we'd even entertain to have?
Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : I've seen trade ideas of Jaire going to the Ravens all offseason
beast (11-Mar) : A probably false rumor is suggesting CB Jaire Alexander is being traded to the Ravens, again probably false
beast (11-Mar) : Commanders might have a dominant offense the next 3 years at least
Zero2Cool (11-Mar) : San Francisco 49ers announced they have released DL Leonard Floyd.
Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : Er getting traded twice like that
Mucky Tundra (11-Mar) : Huh, LT Laremy Tunsil traded from Houston to Washington. Never heard of a top OT getting traded in his career like that
