What year was it that the Vikes started 6-0, faded down the stretch to a 9-7 finish and no playoffs? Was it 2004?

5 years later, we may be looking at history repeating itelf.

I think this game comes down to who wants it more. Afterall, the Vikings may be thinking of this game as a must win as well.

I think it was Aaron who said that in Green Bay, we'll be able to hear the snap count. That said, the Vikings D won't be able to stop us.

I'm not worried about this game at all. We won it. Don't even have to play it. Just mark a W in the game column.

It's for the Division, and also to make us 5-2. It pretty much is a Must Win game.

To me it's a must win from the standpoint that we need to beat a good team at a critical point in the season like this in order to begin establishing a position among the best teams.

Just because we lost a couple early does not mean we cannot rise up and be where we need to be by the end of the season. On the other hand beating teams we should beat but losing games like this one in front of us does not bode well in the progress of this team.

I had a hard time getting a read on the Vikes game Sunday. I thought they held their own and played hard but I am wondering if Pittsburgh is really that good of a team. Offensively, we were able to do more against them up at their place in a huge venue than the Steelers were able to on Sunday.

Every game the Vikes play against a half way decent team seems to go right down to the wire. Hopefully, we make the plays when we need to and show everyone these two teams are very close and just maybe we have the edge on them.

PS- I was GLAD the Giants lost last night. I have a feeling that last game between them and the Vikes will be huge. The last thing we need is for the Giants to go into a meaningless game and give one to the Vikes.

Agreed, this team needs a bit of confidence yet and swagger.. beating the Vikes would do just that. Not to mention syncing the division back up.

The Bears will be reeling a bit, Tommie Harris vs the front office is just starting to brew... that will only simmer some more with him being scratched Sunday even though he participated in warm ups.. watch for a mid season storm to start brewing down there.. so if that happens it is down to two teams in the race for the division..

We split with the Vikes that would be huge in the long run.. but momentum is what we really need right now.

The Saints look like a team that is real.. I think they might only lose a game or two looking at their schedule.. so in the end.. it matters little past getting into the post season.

A win this coming Sunday would be huge down the road in securing a playoff spot.. but a loss isn't going to end much either.

Bigger picture.. I think there is more at stake in ego this coming Sunday than the playoff picture.. sad but most likely true.

It's the Vikings, who beat us in Minneapolis. It's a chance to score a win against a team that's clearly a very good team as opposed to the slappies they've beaten thus far. It could easily swing the division in the Pack's favor.

Definitely a must-win, whether or not the team could rebound if they didn't win it.

Must Win, for sure.

Must win in my view.
For several reasons.
We don't want to fall farther behind the Queens. Plus, the Queens felt the taste of "defeat" and "Bad Brett" this week. They are on the ropes, and hitting them hard now might put them into a spin. It might make the Viking fans jump up against BF. That would be SWEET to see.
And i don't want to see Favre injured. If we can beat him, and put pressure on him, that might get in his head for the remainder of the season. That ALSO would be sweet! I don't want to see T-Jack come in. That kid has a chip on his shoulder, and wants to prove himself. Better for him to stay on the bench in my opinion.

Sorry.

I don't think that this is a must win. Not with how our defense and O-line are still coming along this season. We can get into the play-offs with a wild card, which should be do-able if we beat the Bears again and take down some of the strong teams we'll face later on.

That said, it would make it a lot easier. And I really don't want to get swept by the Vikings.
