From the article:

"The Lions linebacker seems to disappear into Johnson like a scene from Alien played backwards."

Wow what a awesome article on quinn's debut ... Here we have been talking about our crap Oline and green signing ... we forgot we had a rookie debut this past sunday.

Great picks and decriptions there ... Didnt even notice we ran a 2 fullback set and gave kuhn the ball.

Thanks for posting that, Trippster. Good stuff. Too bad the MJS and GBPG don't write positive stories about the Packers anymore, or that might not be the only one about Quinn's debut. Unfortunately, it's all the rage to just bitch about the Packers constantly these days.

Quinn is nasty. He turns into a freakish beast on Madden after a couple years.

Given Johnson's ability to block in the running game, I don't see it being a particularly hard translation into pass block.

He's got the strength to hold his ground, and he's improving with his hand placement. As a full back you can still move up to engage a defensive player in a block, unlike the constant backpeddling of an OL.

No, I don't think it will be particularly hard for him. I hope to see good things with Johnson as our FB into the future.

The challenge for a back to transition to pass blocking is to be alert and smart enough to pick up the blitzes. This is one area that the coaches have said they will miss dearly by not having Wynn. Apparently he was the best we had for that. Hopefully, Wuinn can make us forget about Wynn.
