Of all these trades, the ones that makes sense to me are Steven Jackson, and Joe Thomas...my preference being the latter.
Would it cost a tidy sum? Yep...but out left tackle spot would be set for a decade, barring injury. If he could be lured from the Browns...and I have a hard time imagining any team letting a player like that go....I would sign m ysoul over to the firey red one.
Realistically, Jackson or Long make sense for both teams. Jackson will be in decline by the time the Rams turn it around...may as well get something for him to build with. And Long is terribly miscast in the 4-3...providing the Rams are committed to retaining that scheme, he would most certainly be worth a look-see.
And yet...my fairly conservative self who does not generally like to go for the proverbial "blockbuster trade" gets a little tingle up my leg over the thought of Thomas in Green and Gold.
