I really think you read too much into things. Don't get me wrong, you could be correct, but you could could be completely wrong. 🤷

I mean ... Must've thought they were gonna sign him ... do we even know they looked at him as an UDFA? They looked at many others  by bringing them in for predraft visits.

I'm just trying to say there oftentimes is a much simpler possibilities... and from what I've seen in life, usually it's the simple possibility, more than the complex conspiracy.

Such as, Odom got on everyone radars putting up a lot of sacks in college, most teams thought to keep a tab on the guy, including probably his pro-day and other stuff and then the Packers watched all 32 teams preseason tape and they liked what they saw Odom did in preseason games... and thought he has more pass rush potential.

Looks like the Packers did bring him in for a visit though. I still think it has a lot to do with the tape he had for the Falcons. Of course l didn't think the Packers brought him in for a visit either and I think I was mistaken on that.

Chris Odom, Arkansas State (6-4, 262; 4.83 40; 4.63 shuttle; 20 bench): Odom led the Sun Belt Conference with 12.5 sacks and added 17.5 tackles for losses to earn first-team all-conference as a senior. His sack total was the third-best in school history. Odom was a backup for his first three seasons and recorded four blocks during that span. He is the son of Cliff Odom, who spent most of his 13-year NFL career playing linebacker for the Colts, and he was high school teammates with presumed No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett. “I’ve always worked for what I’ve earned. I have to work harder to get the looks that guys at Power Five schools get, and I understand that. Those are just facts. It’s not a bad thing, because along the way that has pushed me to improve to the point where I have a shot.”

He's definitely not a speed guy. Power is his game, allegedly, and in the two clips I saw of him he slipped or rerouted off blocks to make plays. Will he have enough speed to do that against better talent?

With our woeful rush, I have to believe our staff thought he could get to the passer more often than Elliott who seemed to be okay doing that. I just wondered privately why they'd not draft him and take Dupre over him if they loved him so much. The answer is probably because they love a lot of guys and they thought they had a much better chance of landing Odom as a UDFA than they did Dupre.

Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)

Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : whiteout uniforms in general are pretty lame and weak. NFL greed at it's worst
Martha Careful (17-Dec) : The Viking uniforms, the whiteout uniforms specifically absolutely suck
beast (17-Dec) : Thanks Zero2Cool, looks a lot better now
beast (17-Dec) : Seems like someone has a crush on me, can't stop talking about me
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : Should be gooder now. The forum default theme went to goofy land.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : What the hell
packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : WR Odell Beckham Jr is officially a free agent after clearing waivers.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : Packers are 6th in sacks.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : RB David Montgomery will undergo season-ending knee surgery.
