I wouldn't mind bringing him in. Only concern seems that the only position he has played is LT. Can he do RT?

I think the question is can he do RT better than Barbre. I'd have a hard time believing the answer is no.

How did TJ Lang go when he played against the Rams?

I recall one great run by Ryan Grant for a first down when we were backed up on our goalline whilst Lang was in the game. I don't recall if he had a significant hand in contributing though.

What do we have to lose? Beside Hall. Give him a shot at LT and RT. Maybe he beats out Cliffy, maybe not but we would have the better LT at that point, and the loser can move to RT.

Hell at this point, I would try, Wells, Wynn, even Woodson at Tackle.

According to the Press Gazette  the Packers have worked out six offensive linemen, which would suggest they're seriously considering adding another body:

The Packers worked out three guards and three tackles on Monday, according to a source with access to the NFL's internal transaction wire.

The most notable name was tackle Levi Jones, the former first-round draft pick who has played in 94 NFL games (including 89 starts), all for the Cincinnati Bengals.

The other two tackles were: Peter Fields, who plays for the Odessa Roughnecks of the Indoor Football League, and Isaac Sowells, a former fourth-round pick of the Cleveland Browns.

The three guards were: Cody Balogh of Montana (who has spent time on the Bears practice squad), Stanley Daniels of Washington and Ryan Delrosal of Dixie State.

Well they better do it before the practices this week. Wasting hours and I don't want to move forward with Barbre.

Green Bay - In addition to former Cincinnati Bengals LT Levi Jones, the Packers worked out the following players on Monday:

* Cody Balogh, OG, Montana
* Stanley Daniels, OG, Washington
* Ryan Delrosal, OT, Dixie State (Utah)
* Peter Fields, OT, No College
* Isaac Sowells, OT, Indiana

Balogh spent 2008 on the practice squad of the Chicago Bears and then was cut this year on Sept. 5.

Daniels signed as an undrafted free agent with the Rams in 2007, bounced over to the Jets where he was cut in Aug. '07, then he was signed to a futures contract by the Jets and missed the final cut in '08. He was signed to the Jets' practice squad last year and then was released in the 53-man cutdown this season.

Fields, a native of Great Britain, was reportedly supposed to work out for the Packers in August. That may not have happened. He plays for the Odessa Roughnecks, the same team the Packers plucked DT Rodney Allen from last season. Fields is, get this, 6-foot-10 and 335 pounds. He previously worked out for the Miami Dolphins.

Sowells was a fourth-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2006. Released this year. Hasn't started a game in the NFL.

That the Packers worked out so many offensive lineman does not mean anything. NFL teams, during the first four to six weeks of the season, routinely work out several players at the same position. Two weeks ago, the Packers worked out quarterbacks and receivers. Next Tuesday it could very well be running backs and linebackers.

Teams are trying to make sure they have enough information on certain players. Teams have emergency depth charts so if a rash of injuries hit at a certain position, they know exactly who they will target and in what order.

These workouts all about making sure the Packers have their ducks in a row. Happens every year with every team and every position.
