Why not just try him at RT? Makes the most sense. I feel that Barbre can't play at this level and appears to be our biggest place in need of replacement ASAP.

I couldn't disagree more. I think Barbre has shown an ability to get better and has played much improved since week one. Our left side is what's hurting. Our best running attack is off the right side, so Barbre is doing something right there. We can run to the left, but gerneally in the A gap inly, or B gap with a FB lead. So i don't believe Barbre is the need of biggest replacement. The left tackle we are boned right now. We need Colledge back at guard and get that LT slotted somehow.

That's part of the problem, though. We're trying to scheme to the strength of our players. Just look at some running plays where we had Lang in at LT. He's too raw as a finesse pass blocker, but he was doing pretty well in run protection.
Problem is, our strength is our passing offense. Colledge did a great job this week and Clifton is still a great pass blocker, but on the right side, we have no one. I'm happy about his progress as a run blocker, but I'm slightly less happy about having a QB on IR in week 8.
That's where Tauscher always came in. He's a great pass blocker and, I think, had we had him and Clifton healthy and playing with this much progressed interior line, we would give Rodgers quite some time. We still wouldn't go anywhere in the running game, but you could always fix that with these packages and schemes that you're talking about.
