The 'little rant'

Oh, they're going to rise to the challenge. And they need to. And we all do, starting with me. We're going down there to play football the way we're supposed to play football, OK? We didn't play very good last week. And that's last week. We're 1-1 and we're excited about this opportunity in St. Louis. So we're going to line up and play just the way we did every day, nothing's going to change, we're not changing any plays, any practice schedules, any linemen, any safeties, OK? So we're going down to St. Louis to win a game and we're going to play our type of football. That's our approach.

Yeah. Lets see how that'll work out.

Not what the fans needed to hear coach. We wanted to hear about how you made the guys do up downs until they puked and how you made the guys that committed penalities do laps or something. Didn't need or want to hear a "business as usual" approach to practice.

I'm no football coach, but it would have made me feel much better as a fan to know that it was a half-practice half-ass kicking session and not the same old, same old. But, I guess we'll all know on Sunday if it worked or not.

Over the course of the last two years I have went from looking forward to his reports, to becoming annoyed with the same lame excuses, to now just tuning him out.

I give two pinches less what he says.. all I want to see is results on Sundays.

"Matt Giordano had two interceptions in practice."

This is no big deal if it is against the practice squad...i can't imagine him playing with the first team today. Hell i could pick off a pass from Brain Brohm.

Fun Rams stat

Lions have won more games the last two seasons than the Rams. Yep the Rams have loss more games than anyone in the last two years.

People are crazy. I'll get into that more when I write another Packer fix before the game (possibly tonight), but I think last week might of awaken a sleeping giant perhaps. Maybe not to that extent, but it might be something that the Packers needed and specifically Mike McCarthy because he was buying into this hype of GB being a great team and his decisions were awful due to his overconfidence. Now with this loss under his belt, perhaps he'll treat every game like he treats playing Minnesota or Chicago.

I originally was thinking the same thing. McCarthy's tone today did not give me hope. He sounded almost sad or bewildered at times. I'm starting to lose faith in him as a coach.

What do you guys expect McCarthy to say?

Remember that 31 other teams can view his comments the same way we can. Even if things change he's not going to let on.
