We already signed tackle Dane Randolph to replace Meredith on the PS, so we're filled up again.

Ahh my bad. Good call Rock.

EDIT: From the Mike McCarthy Presser:

Nick Collins will do everything he can to play. I anticipate Nick will play.

That's good news.

Matt Giordano had two interceptions in practice.

That sounds good too.

Let's hope The Packers don't take "the worst team in the league" lightly or that monnicor may just become their own.

Could there be a little panicking going on from the front office, or is this just a wake-up call to the rest of the team?

IMHO it is the latter, get it together boys and start playing to your potential or you will be looking for a new team to play on.

Smith is gone,Rouse is gone, management has decide they were not good enough, time to support the new guys and move on.

"Look for another reason to piss and moan about the management"

Dude, WTF?? Are you serious? Do you have ANY clue what you're talking about? I have been a Mike McCarthy and Ted Thompson supporter since the beginning. Do not use that rhetoric on me. It's not going to work. I do not look for reasons to slam our management team. However, when I do see things that I personally think our mistakes, I call them out. I'm not going to blindly follow them.

And as far as looking for current events to discuss, how is discussing the current state of our safety position not relevant? So, we're conversing on an internet forum, yet to reference any actions made a few months ago is prohibited? That's BS. Actions made over the past couple months directly affect where the Packers are at today, making them very relevant.

Let's see, better not talk at all about the Cincy game huh, since that's done, gone, and over with? Makes perfect sense. NOT.

Like I said, if we start showing significant improvement, then I'm sure I'll have much better things to ponder and / or discuss. However, when we lay an egg like we did last week, I'm going to discuss actions that I think contributed to getting us there.

Yeah, but did he get those 2 INTs from Brian Brohm? Because everyone gets 2 INTs from Brian Brohm.

I will wait to exercise my judgment on the addition..

But I would really like to hear straight answers to the decision on this football team currently.. not some mindless waltz around the topic.

This team better turn it around fast.. or this regime is facing a friggn revolt in the making. Fundamental excuses aren't going to cut it I am afraid.

Rouse sure fell a long way since the '08 preseason, when many fans (including me) thought he was starting caliber and maybe better than Collins. Then, during the '08 season, a bad thing happened: He actually got some serious playing time. He did not play well. He was even worse in his two games this season--constantly out of position, although at least it was somewhat understandable because he had missed most of training camp with a hamstring injury.

It was becoming abundantly clear that Rouse was just another guy. I'm a little surprised how disappointed so many people seem to be with this move. Rouse is one of those players who inhabit the lower reaches of various NFL rosters during their careers. He was too tall (6'4") and too stiff and too often out of position. Thompson drafted him because he seemed to have the potential to become a special player, but it just wasn't happening.

I hope the new guy is better. I doubt that he will be any worse. At any rate, replacing a backup safety who wasn't very good does not seem like anything to get upset about.

The exact same thing happened to him in college. He was initially very possibly the best in the business, and then had a rather dramatic fall-off.

Good points, Greg.

Martha Careful (20h) : thank you Mucky for sticking up for me
Martha Careful (20h) : some of those people are smarter than you zero. However Pete Carroll is not
Mucky Tundra (23h) : Rude!
beast (24-Jan) : Martha? 😋
Zero2Cool (24-Jan) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (24-Jan) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (24-Jan) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
