It's the Bovine Fecal Matter comment that throws everyone off, which of course, I am appalled because my cow dung analagies are not limited to the topic of the Minnesota Vikings.

What we need to do to reach those lofty goals is to be able to take a statement and give it that drill sargeant "I've killed with my bare hands, boy" twist and then present in that I'm a God manner. This will take some work, but it's doable. Just ask 93.

What for, most of us need that sort of thing. Like wouldn't you like to take Dhaze out, run him until he pukes and then tell him to beat up his face doing pushups infinity. Then convince him Rodgers is our new quarterback.

Whoever dyed Chilly's beard did a nice job. Other than that, Favre did a respectable job handing off to Peterson. Their Oline has regressed from last year, and it doesn't look as if Pat Williams did any wind sprints in the offseason. They are not championship material, but we'll wait a while for them to built the momentum for their innevitable late season fall.

Interesting comments in this thread.

Some good, some bad and some tinged with pure "homerism"

The Vikings performance was not stellar, and the Packers performance
was far from stellar as well.
Were it not for the 12th Packer (Jay Cutler) on the field , the Packers might very well now be cuddling up with the Lions.

With that said, there are few things in the NFL the are a certainty.
On any given Sunday, so to speak.

But when it come to commentary on the Vikings, the one thing that surpasses all in a guarantees.
As certain as death and taxes.
As certain as the Sun rising in the east..........

....that DakotaT will permeate cyberspace with copious amounts of Bovine Fecal Matter.

Let me get this straight.....

You're saying that Adrian Peterson, a Minnesota Viking, who is supposed to help his team win....

is the same as

What I insinuated, that Jay Cutler a Chicago Bear, helped the Packers to win.

OK.

This folks is what I call a prime example of:

You hit it, Vikes. Probably not as intended. You see, while you were playing your version of the b.s. gong show, I was over at P.P.O. re-reading the comments from your fellow members (if you were a member there, that is) regarding our pre-season game against the Browns.

The consensus? The Browns are the absolute worst team in the NFL, we played no one. The media hype is ridiculous, etc.

Then I went and read the post-game analysis thread from your match-up against the Browns.

Brady Quinn was surprisingly good, that was a tough team just played, obvious we (the Vikes) are a play-off caliber team, etc.

What did you hit, you might ask?

Your word, Vikes, your word. Just to once and for all prove that I am as full of b.s. as you...possibly more, possibly less... I was gonna use your word....

What do you got over there, about 8000 members? About 100 of them have at least a smattering of G2 between the ears...The rest???

Oxymorons.

I like it.

(i bet you do too, deep down, lol)

I looked for the same stuff you were looking at.. And I didn't see the line you drew.

Yeah, there are gonna be some fans that are gonna rip on the Pack about their preseason play against the Browns and talk up how the Vikings played.. Are you looking at individual posts? Or generalizing?

Lets not forget.. you guys played the Browns in preseason. The first game of the season is a whole different animal.

I'm excusing the piss poor play from my Vikings for that game and the next one. After that, they should have their crap together.

I can give you a blatant example, Formo. Same poster, both places.

And it isn't like you were not waiting poised like a cobra in our chat-room...waiting to strike with some serious smack if things went the Bares way..Oh ya, I noticed...

Vikes can hold his own, and if it were him, I'd cite it.

It isn't him, so I'm not going there.

...and Dakota, just some Naval service humor for my good buddy Nick.

And if you wanna insult me (unintentionally, I am sure) by calling me a doggie, at least insult me by learning that it's Sergeant, not Sargeant.

Nonstopdrivel may weigh in, dependent on his present relationship with a certain relative. This I cannot help.
