i passed on all your well wishes to my mom today. she still hasn't gotten into the ortho doc so we don't know anymore yet. but she said to give y'all a big thank you & she's touched to know you're thinking of her & praying for her.

She will be fine.....after all......if she was able to raise you up into a wonderful woman, a little thing like a broken ankle should be a piece of cake!!!LOLOL!!!

UPDATE: apparently her bone shifted just enough that she requires surgery on her right ankle. they'll go in, put a plate there, screw it in, & put her in a walking cast for 6 weeks.

best news is she can put weight on her left ankle so once she's up to it, she should be able to walk with a walker real soon.

UPDATE #2: made it thru surgery & is now at home resting. ironically, now that she had the surgery, she's in pain. she was pain free til now. 😞 but once the incision starts healing, she'll be feeling much better & tearing around like usual.

ok, so she drove down to my house this morning for the boys big birthday party tomorrow. less than an hour later, she stepped in a hole in my yard & thought she sprained both ankles. she fainted. i got her loaded up in my blazer & we were off to the ER. 5 long hours later, we found out she has a severely sprained left ankle & a broken right ankle. the poor thing will be in a wheelchair for 6 weeks, minimum. she goes to the ortho surgeon on monday & we're hoping she won't require any surgery. poor thing - keep her in your prayers, please.
