I hate the Cowboys as much as the next guy.

But hate the state? Naw. I'd be living there, if it shared the same climate as Minnesota.

That's truly stupid. And according to that highlight clip they had ONE punter test out how high it had to be? Even more stupid.

I wonder if in some weird way, Jerry Jones did this intentionally. Maybe he thinks it will give the Cowboys a home field advantage. The Cowboy punter will be used to the scoreboard, while visiting opponents might be worried about hitting it, causing them to maybe change their punting style.

From Jerry Jones:

"If you look at how you punt the football, unless you're trying to hit the scoreboard, you punt the ball to get downfield. You certainly want to get some hangtime, but you punt the ball to get downfield, and you sure don't punt the ball down the middle. You punt it off to the side."

And the comments from Mike Periera, the NFL's director of officiating:

"I would say that it's a big enough issue that we're going to have to address it with the competition committee here probably sometime this week to figure out what direction we want to go."

Looks like Old Jerry didn't think everything through when he paid $1 billion for his stadium. I guess there's something to be said about playing football outside.

NFL.com recently had a poll asking "Where would you rather see a game?" Lambeau Field or The Cowboys' New Stadium....after over 110,000 votes Lambeau Field edged out the new stadium 53% to 47%. I personally love going to games at Lambeau Field and couldn't even imagine going to a football game anywhere else. The fans and atmosphere make it the best place to be on Sundays.

Jerry Jones is an ass! Not sure if anyone knew that yet or not, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

I don't remember where I heard/read this, but I guess the scoreboard is that low, because the U2 (who's having a concert there in Oct.??) concert requires it to be where it's currently at.

Again, not sure how official that is.
