The Viking's announcers were saying the bad throws were 'nothing to worry about'. Because they were 'veteran throws'. Whether the WR is supposed to wain over or not, it's the QB's job to make the ball catchable for the WR.

I think Favre was playing it safe with his arm too. The balls weren't coming out of the cannon at a high velocity at all.

Tavaris looked good and sustained a nice AP oriented drive capped off with a 13 yard strike for 7. The Vikings defense gave up an early score to Cassel but forced and recovered two fumbles.
