There isn't a 10 yard dash drill... but when the players run the 40 yard dash drill they takes the times at the 10, the 20 and the 40 yard lines...

I can't tell you want scouts do and don't take it... but I can tell you that the big names guys like GMs and others high scout people seem to act like the combine is more like a social club meeting a lot more than a scouting thing... (maybe because they watch tape of the combine later and everyone else is doing work there?)

And there are tons of scouts packed into the end of the 40 yards... and almost every where else they seemed spread out. A few at the 10 and 20 but not too many...

I think the 10 yard time would be better than the 20 or 40 yard time how they would do in the NFL but I've never had the time or want to do a study that big for that long another players that end up all over the NFL...

and during some of the other drills I don't think the guy that did it the fastest turns out the best but the guy who did it fast/quick and was able to keep their body in control during it... again I don't have the time or want to test a theory that big and that long...

Greg- They don't have a timed 10 yd dash. He was just saying that in sports, a 10 yard dash (if there were one) would be more functional because there are many more times that a guy will hit a 10 yard run than a 40 yard run.

When they run the 40 yard dash they time players at the 10, 20 and 40 yard lines. It's a lot harder to find the results of the 10 and 20 yard times but some do take them down and make them public...

I agree with Finley. gbguy20, you can't tell us that you weren't happy with how the kid played, especially considering it was his first game in 2 years. He had better numbers than any rookie RB in 62 years. That's exciting stuff.
