So the guy holding the number 2 receiving position doesn't hold back 3 and 4? They're learning alot standing there on the sidelines watching, right?

No he doesn't, they don't have Driver at the #2 position because hes the default #2 they have him there because he gets the job done. The only way he holds them back is if he doesn't produce but they leave him in anyways (drops passes/ doesn't break tackles etc...) and as far as I can tell that didn't happen. Jones was hurt last year and Jordy had enough opportunities to make a move.

When Driver stops being money making catches that other WRs are scared to make and stops powering his way to the 1st down (his job) and they don't replace him with a guy who gets that done better then you can complain. I think I remember seeing a stat last year where Driver had caught more passes over the middle than pretty much anybody in the NFL and I have never seen him get "crocodile arms".

Not me needer.

DD is one of the few Pro Bowlers who would not let his ego get in the way. He can drop from #1 to #2 to #3 or maybe even #4 and still bring value to the team.
I say run him out there with his walker if need be and let him play.

I will admit I would have supported trading Driver for Boldin, but I also find Driver fun to watch. He's one of the few receivers in the league who will battle like hell for extra yardage without coughing the ball up while scrambling for that last inch. He simply refuses to go down.

Not only do I think it's laughable that he would be cut or traded, I think it's borderline laughable to assert that some younger WR will knock him down the roster. Y'all put players in the Old Folks Home way too quickly - with Driver's preparation and conditioning, I predict he'll have yet another very good year.

Driver had one of his better years this season with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. In Favre's record-breaking 2007-2008 season, when Jennings' numbers started to pop, Driver saw a gross drop in TD's. His TD's are back up now.

This team needs Donald Driver as long as he still has it, and all indications are that he definitely does still have it.

Never thought Driver would leave and I feel he'll be with us for awhile yet. He was almost 30 by the time he fully broke out. And he's not holding anyone back as 3rd receivers and even 4th receivers get on the field a fair amount, especially with our offense.

He has always said that he is a Packer first and foremost, and never given any indication otherwise. If someone was saying that he was as good as gone because of his loyalty to Favre, they were just trolling for s&g.

Don't think so either. James Jones might eventually become the nr. 2, but with the amount of times that we come out in a 3-4-5 WR set, he should still be on the field pretty often.

I think that he'll be around for at least another 2 years.
