all i can say is i'm so sorry, dj. i will never understand how someone can point a gun at a defenseless human being & pull the trigger.

DJ....i am SO sorry to hear about your friend.
Today's "me first" attitude is where i think the problem lies. They teach kids they THEY matter, that THEY have RIGHTS. They don't teach mutual respect, and to treat others as they want to be treated. So if you "diss" someone, they feel they have the right to kill you. Trippster's words are 100% right.
Now, i heard on the news that McNabb was running around with this woman, had met her family, had the SUV she was driving DUI in both of their names. To me, it's another "you play, you pay" situation. Maybe he wanted out, and she decided to kill him for it. WAY too much of that stuff going on in today's world.
Sad.......very sad.

As far as this post is concerned, McNabb = McNair.

Thats just it Illy.
People with morals would never do that. The (i hate to even call them PEOPLE) that do something like that are worthless pieces of trash.
They don't just kill one person, they in many ways kill their family and friends.

McNair made a mistake, but didn't deserve what happened. Cheating on your wife shouldn't cost you your life. Makes you look like an idoiot though and quite frankly I have loss a little respect for McNair, but on the flip side he didn't deserve to go out the way he did just because of a personal choice. It's unfortunate of what did happen. I feel bad for the McNair family and the 20 year olds family.

I never said he deserved to go out that way. He didn't.
But once again, if you play with fire, don't be totally shocked if you get burned.
Is it sad? Heck yes. With what he was involved in, is it a real shock now? Not for me.

Pretty much sums up my feelings.

I've lost respect for the guy, but only as a man. Not as a player.

To be honest i think Mcnair was more of an IronMan than the one we had here in Green Bay, He played with all types of injuries but when he played with the broken sternum he gain alot of respect from me. He was a great football player and had a huge heart. When it comes to his off field stuff i don't care about it's not my business.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I am feeling his kids. His wife also.

The shooter's mom also.

My cop friend reminds me about her often...

When you are in the public eye, every part of your life gets dissected. Your weak points AND strong points get magnified.
Fact is, this kind of stuff goes on all the time.
Had McNair been an average joe, we might have seen him, his girlfriend, and wife on "Jerry Springer". His situation is EXACTLY the same kind of crap thats on that show. The ONLY difference is that he was rich. Instead of buying his girlfriend a new set of teeth, he bought her a Cadilac.
