IMO the key to suceeding is the linemen, and with Colledge, Spitz and Sitton the Packers have their best inside three since Thompson has been here and IMO running sets up the pass unless you have tons and tons of short pass which does hurt you long pass because you don't run them as often.

Not the OTs just need to step up for the offense.

Now on the other side is also the same... the line needs to step up and be better.

Biggest problem I saw last year was how opposing D's approached us last year. In 07 they tended to play off more. Brett was established at both carving a defense and giving up picks. In 08 with the immergence of Grant teams tended to clog the middle. They didn't respect Rodgers early on. As Rodgers showed an aptitude to hurt teams in the passing game Grant and Bjak looked better as did the line.
Our Oline looked better in 07 by virtue of quick throws and shy defenses.
This year will b a tell tale year for the Oline to determine if the group can gel and become a cohesive unit. There were some good moves in the draft to increase competition across the line.

Not gonna work. Our line has physical limitations and the sooner the Packers realize this, we can fix the problem. We need top talent, not late round plug guys on the most important part of our team.

I assume you mean you want us to use 1st rounders to load up the O-line, because right now we have 2-4 rounders, not late round picks.

I mean project guys. Tackles playing guard and vice versa. And yes, 4th round is late compared to 1st round.

Compared to the 1st round, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are later, yes. Ok. I'm fine using 2nd through 4th rounders to develop an O-line. What matters more to me is DEVELOPING one. Our last good O-line was together for years, intact. That is why it was so good. They have to work as a unit and be completely comfortable together.

I think Ryan Grant will do good this year barring another injury.

If we:
1) Stay healthy,
2) Play solid D,
3) limit penalties,
4) limit turnovers,

We can win the SB without a running game.
Easily.

So once again, screw the run. I'll take a top 5 D, and keep our top 5 O, limit turnovers, stay healthy, and enjoy a deep Playoff run that will hopefully result in a SB win.
