Brett Favre has every right to change his mind and not to tell anyone anything . . . sure.

However, I have every right to think he's incredibly annoying and am super excited about watching him throw multiple interceptions to the Packers secondary this year.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

"As of now, I am retired".

How is that doing all the crap that you're accusing him of.

So he's thinking of making a comeback, big deal.

All of the Ted Thompson supporters are attacking him because they're afraid. I see no other reason to do so.

thats his way out of it..

But its OKAY I am FINE with that..

but to say he doesnt add to the circus is a little ignorant dont ya think?

As I said..

If BRETT himself makes an announcement it will be ALL CLEARED up at least up until he changes his mind or does something different.

Before anyone gets their panties in a bind from that last sentence.

HE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO CHANGE HIS MIND

But by speaking for himself on tv or radio at least we hear it from his mouth and not how someone spins it..

Not like reporters spin things

Nope.

What I think is ignorant is people attacking Favre based on heresay, innuendo, and media hype based upon their own personal agendas against the man that is divorced from actual fact or reality, and without knowing the whole story, or the other side--ie, Ted Thompson and MM's involvement in all of this.

But that's just me, I guess.

old man - how do YOU know the whole story? were you the proverbial "fly on the wall" in the offices when discussions were taking place?

you are making mountains out of mole hills. there is not one person on this site who is 100% on brett's side NOR 100% on managements side. you pick apart every post made by certain people & skew it to fit your "poor brett" argument.

i know brett did a wonderful thing for my dying dad & i will never forget that. for awhile i was pissed as hell at favre for lying when he said he'd never play for another team besides the packers. but in the end, he did alot for the packers & for my dad - so i've let it go.

sadly it's posters like you who won't let it go. we're a family here. we'd like to keep it that way.

Again if Brett would hold a p/c or even do something on the radio, that would end all the media hype.....so there we have him adding to the circus...

In fact you add to the circus and so does anyone else that debates this issue.

I'd have to disagree. The more likely scenario is Adrian running crazy over the Packers. I love Favre, he's the greatest, but he just doesn't have the WR's to torch the Packers (with the Vikings that is). I'd be more inclined to say he'd torch the Packers with the Jets WR's than the Vikings. Thinking that the WR's for the Vikings could dominate the Packers secondary ... that's plain foolish. In my opinion of course.

It will be interesting to find out though, won't it?

Talk about drama.

Man, that game would be a pressure cooker, if it ever happens.

They'd have to shutdown the Anderson Window factory for the week for all the fights that would be breaking out!

You're entitled to your opinion, Old Man, but I like my chances on this one.

I'll tell the other old man to bring it on!! Just as slick said, we stop Adrian Peterson, we stop Favre. I'm with Nick Barnett, you're either with us or against us, and if Brett is a Viking, I will be totally against him until we have the division sealed.

You'll be doing it to yourself Brett! 🙂

I don't know how you can't be concerned with him being on the Vikings and facing the packers, assuming the arm is ok.

you won't be able to focus on shutting down Favre cus you have Peterson in the backfield. You can focus on shutting down Peterson cus you have Favre in the Backfield. And if you can't blitz (cus you are kept honest by peterson) then you give one of the best time to pick the defense apart.

Favre woudl have a burner in Harvin. A possession reciever in Berriman. And we all know that Favre will make average recievers look good (Brooks, Freeman, etc.)

I think Favre will still throw one or two picks, but I also see him throwing 2-4 touchdowns. and 300 plus yards. It would probably be the toughest game for the defense all year.

It would be a two headed dragon.....and a smart one at that!

Favre is never -- NEVER -- a lock to throw 300 yards. He's averaged well under 300 yards/game for his career, and in a surprising number of big games, he's thrown less than 190 yards. You're just as likely to see a meltdown as a prolific performance.
