I have finally figured out what my biggest "worry" is.

Aaron and Co will have stellar season, make a deep run in the playoffs and no one will have any reason to make up the Ted vs. Brett conspiracy theories.

And thus it will get so boring around here. :bigsmurf:

I'm still going to dislike Ted even if we win the Super Bowl. That's not to say I don't want him as my GM though. I'd just prefer he not be so damn cryptic! Although I do understand he has to be with somethings. It's mainly the response 'i dont know' when asked why he let someone go. That drives me crazy!

I agree, publicly he seems to have the personality of a dried piece of wheat bread that has been sitting on the counter for about a week.

But looking at his personnel moves ledger.. I believe the positives outweigh the negatives.. and Ari came in last year to help with the communication issues.. so many internally things have improved. On that note, does anyone else notice that the assistant coaches seem to have more journalist freedom this year than in years past?

We have seen Greene give more interviews in months than any assistant I can remember giving in years.

Yeah, Greene is insane and I like what he will bring. Did you see that one interview where he was asked two questions and he looked at the reporter and said, "look, you will have to ask me one question at a time, I've had way to many concussions."

I think the LB intensity will be ramped up just a wee bit this year.

I can tolerate his bad speaking if he'd just win us some damn games.

Seriously, because of the lack of information that is given out, I will not listen to his press conferences. Nor Mike's for that matter either.

+1

I had to mid to late last season.. the "Pad Level" comment and no plausible solution to it drove me to the edge... so I just quit caring about the Pressers..

Instead.. I chose to verbally BBQ him on the forum instead.. lol.

Is it being negative or looking for the logic behind the optimism?

I don't think Dom Capers can turn this defense around because I think their is a talent problem. I worry about our aging corners. Harris's decline has started and C-Wood is bound to slow down sometime. I don't know what Raji will bring to the table as a rookie or how Kampman will adjust. Will Hawk break out? Will Barnett be at 100% and improve on his past mistakes?

Their are lots of ????? on Defense. If you put a tarp over a leaky roof does it solve the problem or just make it look like you made an attempt to do so. Sanders was a god to most in 07 and now he's the fall guy. I think the talent, and lack of depth is the problem.

Dom has proven he can get the D to turn around in his 1st season with a team

When Capers took over the 25th-ranked Jaguars defense in 1999, the Jaguars moved up 21 spots in the rankings and led the league in scoring defense.

And when he changed the Dolphins to a 3-4 in 2006, they went from 18th to fourth in the defensive rankings.

do think we will comptee with Det. for the 3 spot in the division. Not so much because the Packers got worse as much as Detroit has improved.

Has the season started and i didn't know it? I'm seeing silly comments about the defense, like now we can pressure the qb and our dbs will get alot of picks, or we have a tough defense now..

If changing a dc and scheme makes your defense better why don't more teams do it? If Capers is so great why wasn't he signed by anyone else? Playing devils advocate to some silly posts but i would like to hear about this.

I would agree, there were a lot of questions. I don't know of anyone who ever said Bob Sanders was a God as our DC, no one. I think a lot of questions have been answered after 16 games and next year the defense should be even better with more of the right personnel in place.
