That is very interesting. I tried to take a look the other way but could only come up one for sure and a maybe on the other for 3 plays that would have turned 2 of our wins into losses. The Blackmon punt return week one for a td without that we lose. The Colts game it would be 2 plays both INTS returned for tds take 14 points away from the Packers and give the Colts 7 and the win goes the other way.

Interesting take on another board.. 3 simple plays... I know should of, could of, would of type statement.. but really we were that close.

you know, its funny ... as bad as 08 was...our pack was actually 3 plays from winning NFC North and hosting a playoff game in january. Yep...3 little plays... that is the difference between us at 6-10 and Vikings at 10-6.

1. Crosby's miss at metrodome - he makes the kick, we win the game. and we have 7 wins and Vikings have 9 wins

2. Crosby's 1 iron vs bears at Soldier - Crosby makes the kick, we win the game and we have 8 wins and bears finish with 8 wins

3. Longwell's 51 yard FB with 5 seconds left vs Giants in week 17 ... Giants emptied their bench in second half after dominating the 1st half. Vikings drive the field vs Giants scrubs and Longwell is good from 51 with 5 seconds left to give Vikings a 20-19 win. Longwell misses that kick , Crosby makes his when we played at Metrodome... we are 8-8, Vikes are 8-8, bears are 8-8 and We win tie breaker by sweeping the division and host Atlanta on a snowy freezing day vs a rookie QB....who knows what would have happened

yep...3 plays... pretty crazy...

i always try to look at things from both sides, but like i said it was hard to come up with anything. The colts game was actually dominated by us but those 2 plays would have turned it all around. One Int was at our 1 returned for a td thats why i said 7 points to the colts. But ya those other plays are alot more understandable.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Is that 4th and 26 talking to us through dhazer's account? Why in the hell would you try to nitpick and find plays that would cost us wins? It's not like we had a plethora of wins already. I know you're a Packers fan, but things like this ... wow. Just, WOW.

And you don't know if we don't get that return for a TD we lose the game because you don't know what would have happened on our offensive series so that play is NOT factor in.

As for the Colts how the hell do you know they don't go and punt instead and we drive down the field and score 3 or 7? You see, you're not making any sense at all.

At least this dude who posted this has helluva lot less variables than your nitpicking.

We had SIX wins, stop trying to discredit them. It's hard enough to swallow that fact as it is, and now its coming from a freaking Packers fan.

edit, BS you don't try to look at things at both sides. You try to find the side that suits your agenda. You've proven that.

Had McCarthy not been so conservative in the red zone, we wouldn't have been in a position the have to make game winning field goals. Just sayin..

I agree. This might sound stupid, but I'm hoping that McCarthy just didn't trust Rodgers and it wasn't a philosophy type thing. I say that because by NOW he should trust and have faith in Rodgers in the red zone. Faith an trust are easier to earn than changing a philosophy of a coach, I think anyway.

wow, thats really interesting to think about... There's no doubt in my mind that we had more talent then a 6-10 team, just compare us team potential, team cap, and team skill wise to teams like..........wow I just realized we were the only 6-10 team in the entire league hahaha bad example i guess.
We are born naked, wet and hungry. Then things get worse.

I think we are who they thought we were. A six win team with potential. And I'm sick of hearing about the potential our team has and players have. I want to SEE IT on the field. Potential doesn't beat teams, talent does.

MM's "play not to lose" attitude cost The Packers more than the breaks going one way or the other.

Everyone is saying AR is our franchise QB, only if MM let's him.

AR...2009...5000+passing yds,35 td's,15int's.

Packers go 10-6 and win The North!!!

Mark it down, with the recent qb changes in the North, MM is going to have to let AR be the qb we all know he can be!!!!
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!
