Thank you. The way people flip-flop about players, I'm just glad they're not running our front office - we'd never keep a player here more'n a couple years. The minute they want to get paid they become 'whiners' or over-rated.
Collins is hands-down the best safety the Packers have, he had a hell of a year last year (and did well the year before), and he's getting to the one best spot to make his money. This is the contract that, for most players, defines their career income in the NFL - this is his time to get his money.
Given the fact that he could suffer an injury that'll jeopardize his ability to maximize his NFL income, I don't see any problem in his sitting out. Additionally, the current reason, as Z pointed out, is that he's dealing with family business. And the worst I've read is that his agent says he's "disappointed" that they haven't started talking about a new contract. Not "pissed", not threatening to hold out.
