Does he have value in Green Bay.. yes.. would he come back home to probably be a plan B type player? That I don't know.

At Safety, we have question marks abound, but would he be penciled in ahead of Bigby, Rouse? Maybe, maybe not.. but from team perspective, what a luxury he would be..

Punt and kick returner.. Would he beat out Blackmon as a the front line returner.. questionable from the teams perspective.. again it would be a ultimate luxury for the Packers.

So, the deal looks good from the Packers angle, but Jimmy's view looks questionable at best. With the Ravens, he has increased value already and probably has a decent shot at retaining the starting spot... the is comfort to a player.

I would love to see him in Green and Gold, but other than location I don't know how much interest their would be from him.

I don't know a lot about him but I do want another S to be brought in in case Bigby doesn't come back to 100% and if Rouse doesn't improve enough.

I doubt he's better than Blackmon in the punt return, and I think the best kick returners on the team were Nelson and P. Lee. I think P. Lee was the best but couldn't beat out Bush in the ST role of the last CB on the active roster.

Well if he goes back to the Ravens he would have to beat out Dawan Landry who has been the starter for the last three years until an injury last year.

Bigby was also injured and could be easy to beat out if they both were healthy.

Need? No, I wouldn't go that far. But he'd be a great add if he was available at a semi-reasonable price. I don't see S as a big enough need (or him as a good enough safety) to break the bank, though.

Need? Probably not....but I would not mind seeing him in G & G.

That said, I think there are some really nice safety prospects in this draft. Plus, we just protected Bigby. I am curiouys as to whether the breakdown in the secondary fell to Collin's ability, or lack thereofe, to get people in the right place, or if it was more scheme and a general state of confusion.

i know ur secondary is aging but i dont think we really have question marks all over the field. i think that there are options that the coaches are playing wiht but i feel that we a re pretty good off and i dont think he is necessary

All I know is I would love to see Jimmy Leonhard back in Wisconsin.

I've heard he's a good player, but I haven't really seen him.

Can he cover? That's what we need. We don't need another in-the-box guy.

He's a good all around safety, not a punishing hitter or anything but solid in his technique and he can run for sure. I think he benefited alot from having Ed Reed across from him in Baltimore though.

Word is the Jets and he have already agreed on a contract though so no dice for us 😞

Broncos | In running for Leonhard
Tue, 03 Mar 2009 09:35:54 -0800

Alex Marvez, of FOXSports.com, reports the Denver Broncos have made a late bid for free-agent FS Jim Leonhard (Ravens), who is now reconsidering his verbal agreement to sign a contract with the New York Jets, according to a source.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
