Not true, we're just missing our All World safety Nick Collins. He covered the middle of the field very well.

Honestly I wanted the Packers to draft another true Safety, because the back-end struggled a bit without Burnett last season, as Hyde still doesn't fully seem comfortable at true Safety (and really he seemed to have a down year at nickel). Also while Burnett can play full time FS (like he did between Collins and Dix), he did not excel at it and other positions seems to suffer from it.

What do we have at linebacker?
Matthews (maybe Ryan) and a whole bunch of questions!

Questions such as will Peppers lose a step with another year? Will a back-up OLB finally step it up? Will Barrington be back to 100%? Will the ILBers be able to step it up?

It would be nice if Matthews could go back to the outside and Fackrell beats out Peppers. It would keep Peppers rested for money time.

His long arms did allow him to lock his arms without giving an OL his chest so he was able to keep containment, but that was college, NFL OTs have longer arms and even more power and movement. Though I still have hopes that NFL coaching / talking with other players might be able to quickly fix his bull rush execution to teach him out to get the most of it, but that's hoping, I thinking it's going to take some time.

But might be nice if Perry and/or Datone finally break out... I was thinking they should of moved Neal to power OLB sooner, but when they finally did I was thinking it's too late and that they should move Datone (who's more athletic) instead. It at least has sounded like Datone could be playing more OLB in certain packages. Datone is more clearly more athletic than Neal and in a limited number of attempts has looked a hell lot more natural in coverage/zone roles than Perry.

IMO Clay playing OLB only would be a waste of his abilities. He should be inside on running situations and outside on passing downs. It is to easy to run away from him, or use his aggressiveness against us.

I still fully expect MLBs to be seen less and less on the field in favor of Safeties who can cover.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Take it for what it's worth, but NFL players voted Clay Matthews as the #57 player in the league. Adrian Peterson was highly complementary of him.
