Houston's DeMeco Ryans
Detroit's Dan Campbell
San Francisco's Kyle Shanahan
Baltimore's John Harbaugh
Cleveland's Kevin Stefanski

Matt LaFleur wasn't even a finalist for coach of the year. The guy gets no respect.

13 win back to back to back seasons, oh you got Aaron Rodgers!!

Takes youngest team in NFL to playoffs and destroys 2 seed? Crickets lol

I haven't a clue how they elect these things.

All awards cost the team owner money. They are a talking point and a negotiating chip for the agent, be it for a player or a coach. Now, I don't care about 31 team's owners, but I do care about this team"s owners, being one of them, so someone explain to me why it is to my advantage for some player or coach on my team to get one of these awards. They display the trophy or whatever they get in the atrium or wherever, and for that I get to watch the player or coach become the progenitor of a raised ticket price, a reduction in cap room in the case of a player, and probably more expensive hot dogs, brats and beer in both cases. Does Matt deserve consideration as coach of the year? Absolutely
Should have won it already.
But when contract negotiation time comes, my story is something along the lines of, "Well, he couldn't even win coach of the year...afterall, he had Rodgers and Love"

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

When Matt LaFleur has those three 13 win seasons, why wasn't he mentioned for coach of the year? Aaron Rodgers, right? 🙄

Even if he's not a finalist, why hasn't anyone talked about it? It's those other guys (who were actually listed) an not LaFleur.

I brought this to the website for a discussion because I wonder if Matt LaFleur is not respected amongst the Professional Football Writers of America. If they don't respect him, I wonder if that is also the sentiments in the NFL circle? And it became a thought because of hiring coordinators. It was one of those random thoughts while at work and I tried to spit out my thought with my phone. And this website is poopie on phone.

All quite unfair, and certainly not alone in being unfair.
