I have the benefit of sitting on my ass so keep note of that when I give my expert analysis!

This is the Packers first play of the game. You see Watson has to comeback and catch the ball. HOWEVER!! I think if Love wasn't looking off the Safety here and threw a zinger dart where my artistic throwing path is ... TOUCHDOWN!!! We'll have to keep an eye on this play because I think it'll get called more and I think Love will look the Safety off quicker and sling it sooner.

I've heard a lot of people complain the ball was under thrown. (It was) "If only Love hit Watson in stride ..." How realistic is it to expect a QB to hit a receiver in the hands 50 yards down the field? Over the years I have seen way too many balls over the receiver's head. Coming back and expecting Watson to make the catch doesn't seem to be an unreasonable request.

I'm sure they will call that play again. The only thing I think will be different is the receiver Love throws to. The defenses are going to key on Watson so look for Doubs or Reed to get the ball. Doubs was open deep. He stopped and came back toward the line bumping into the defender. He he kept going he could have been was open as Watson or more so.

Reed less so because he came over the middle and was running into the LB's zone. A few seconds later he cleared it but who knows how much time Love will have on any given play. With max protect and Doubs doing a hook he can be wide wide open over the deep middle.

It's realistic if he can throw it sooner. But as I pointed out in my observation... when I would want him to throw it he was busy (correctly) looking the safety off. He holds the ball long enough for Lions to get someone in his face and that's probably why he couldn't get it deeper.

As I've said in other topics, I'd like for him to make decisions quicker. I think it'll lead to more yards after catch. And also stated why he didn't due to looking the Safety off.

This play is encouraging to me because it was a huge gain and with some timing can be a helluva shot play! It's gonna be great!!

This is a positive observation. Not a complaint. Not from me anyway.
