LOL cheesey....He wasn't quite that bad! IMO i dont agree with the move. Look at our defense last year...The decline of KGB, the fact that we had no more Williams on the D line...and for the most part..the Line backers sucked this year. I dont see how fireing Sanders can help that. Of course..i would have liked to have seen more blitzing from him..But still...A coach can only do so much with what he has.

A scapegoat perhaps.
We made a few personnel mistakes plus got two huge injuries. Losing Williams and thinking Justin Harrell could fill in his shoes was a huge mistake. Then Cullen Jenkins going down. Plus, KGB lost a step and pretty much generated no pressure from the other end, so Kampy never got to face anyone one on one.
With our DL useless, the D was a lost cause. It's absolutely amazing how much our DBs stepped up and tried to salvage games for us. Woody and Collins were both rewarded with trips to Hawaii.
I'm not defending Sanders. I think he failed to make defensive adjustments all year. But now we're at a blank slate level. We can get a better DC, or a worse DC. I guess we'll see...
