USFL MVP

This past season. McGough completed 67.4% of his passes for 2,105 yards and set modern USFL records with 20 touchdown passes with a QBR rating of 108.3. He also rushed for 403 yards and five touchdowns on 70 carries, on his way to being named the USFL MVP.

Interesting because I thought they said they didn't want too many QBs to make sure the young QBs got more reps.

They're reported to signing him, I'm thinking this means either they're feeling very secure with what they have at QB or they're thinking of moving on from QB Danny Etling.

Good organizations are always turning over the bottom of the 90 man roster.

Could be nothing or something.

Favre, Brunnell, Detmer, Warner were all once on the roster.

Doesn't hurt to give him a look.

I think I read where Warner knew real quick there was no room for him and he just left training camp before he was cut.

But most teams only carry two QBs, and Gute doesn't like giving up on rookie draft picks (has found ways to keep them all the last couple of years as rookies), even if clearly not among the top 63.
