Last time I remember an issue with a coach was WR coach in LaFleaur's first year... which refused to be Lazard on the field despite Lazard seemingly being the clear best healthy option.
Though, some might question the current OL coach a bit, with the whole sticking with the RG Newman, RT Jenkins experiment too long, though I can't be sure that was mainly his decision or not as the old OL coach is the current offensive coordinator.
And I still wanted to see how Jenkins looked at RT with a good and aggressive RG next to him... but Jenkins' play style is too aggressive to have an overly passive OG on the inside of him ... but if you put another aggressive guy like say a TJ Lang on the inside of Jenkins and I think it MIGHT work. But zero chance it was going to work with a passive OG... and I don't know why they didn't realize this sooner.
