MM's run at head coach it seemed like we have always been talking about injuroes and other than an odd season here or there it has continued with LaFleur....
Could this potential be one of the reasons for the higher number of Packers injuries?
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nflpa-president-calls-for-immediate-replacement-and-ban-of-slit-film-turf-among-other-player-safety-measures https://www.cbssports.com/ NFLPA president JC Tretter is asking for the NFL to improve playing surfaces to decrease unnecessary injuries. Tretter, after taking feedback from players who have expressed concern about some of the league's playing surfaces, has asked the NFL -- among other things -- for an immediate ban of slit film turf.
Slit film turf is currently used in six stadiums:
MetLife Stadium (New York Giants and New York Jets),
Ford Field (Detroit Lions),
U.S. Bank Stadium (Minnesota Vikings),
Caesars Superdome (New Orleans Saints),
Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis Colts) and
Paycor Stadium (Cincinnati Bengals). In a letter issued through the NFLPA's website, Tretter noted that games played on slit film turf have higher in-game injury rates compared to other playing surfaces. Non-contact injuries and foot and ankle injuries are among the injuries that statistically occur more on slit film turf, according to Tretter.
Only 6 stadiums, and two are in the NFC North!
Both AFC and NFC West have 0... everyone else has 1.
