I kept seeing the phrase We-fense (or Wefense) being thrown around for the Packers comments, like we should all know it. But I missed where that came in and came from so I finally looked it up... and for anyone else (like me) that missed it, here is the background.
During an interview, Packers new ST coach Rich Bisaccia said the following (see video below if you want exact quote),
We have a phase around here, Wefense, we're not offense, we're not defense, we're Wefense
This is the only place you can see a LB lined up next to a TE, next to a S with a RB making the calls. No other part of football mixing offensive and defensive guys.
So Wefense = Special Teams
Also, based in this video, you have to love his humor and attitude... though nothing surprising. Players have to get the knowledge and have to care and fight for each other.
And that he literally takes it one play at a time and pointed out that very rarely are STs perfect... every game has something to fix and that he win a Superbowl with the Buccaneers in 2002 where their ST unit had a pint blocked and returned for a TD.
