The Green Bay Packers need to reduce their roster by 27 players by Tuesday, or even further if they're looking to bolster a couple positions.

Why? Just why? Green By has one of the best rosters in the NFL. They are moaxed out on their cap room for next year. They are having problems trying to figure out who the release in hopes they can put them on the PS. Why are they needing to go shopping?

Sure if they can pick up a LS off the reject heap but do you really think he will be THAT much better than the current LS? Odds are very slim.

OLB/Edge is solid. If Z's injury was serious they would probably put him on IL. If they are going to do so after the cut down date in order to bring him back who are you going to find that is better than what you already have. Unless you trade. Trades cost something. More than likely the cost/benefit ratio isn't going to be there.

RB? You're kidding me. Who has 3 RBs that are better than what GB has right now? If you want a 4th guy, you know, someone who sits on the bench all year long doing nothing then fine. Scrap heap or trading assets to get him? I'll take a pass both times and go with Taylor or Williams. Both of them won't be picked up.

Green Bay needs a 4th OLB, 4th RB and a better LS. What a nothing story. Must have had a deadline to meet so they came up with this.

1) STs
2) STs
3) Vet Free Safety
4) ILB (which is basically STs)

I know the Packers didn't play their top STs guys, but still they looked absolutely shitty! And I'm wondering if that or some unhappiness got ILB Martin released early... as the backups behind him might of been much better on STs. I don't know whom, but clearly people did not stay in their coverage lanes, and not close.

Considering it sounds like Amos will be the dime LB, that means the 3rd Safety will be getting some play time in defense... at least 10% to 15%, and our 3rd Safety was Redmond which gave me concerns, but Redmond when to the IR. I think in reality, they're just going to ask Black and Scott to step up and maybe keep a 5th Safety for STs.

The 4th ILBer will be a STer, I think they'll stick with Summers or the draft pick, but they have brought in STer ILBers after camo before.

Also, our LS had some questionable snaps last year...
