It doesn't matter to them who is on the field. I refuse to participate when Aaron & Co is on the field. I have told people around me to wait until we are on defense. I have said it dozens and dozens of times. It's frustrating but I can't stop people who are 3-4 sections away. The best way to stop the wave is for the offense to get a big play. People stop looking to their left (Almost all the successful waves run counter clockwise.) and they look down on the field. Once again I am saying the team has to get the attention of the fans if they want proper behavior. It's not right but that's the way it is.
Never really got the wave. Seemed like something minor for drunks to exaggerate their excitement. Not against it. If folks like it, cool.
