I want to like Rodgers.
And even with this story, I don’t hate him.

I've seen/heard this happen numerous times, but because I know he's cool with people like Bill Huber, Rob Domovsky, Jason Wilde, etc ... I know he's having with with his 'guy', so to speak. To those who don't know this, or consider it, he's just a smug arrogant dude.

What makes it more difficult is Rodgers wants a good legacy, but he's not going to jump to a podium every time a rumor or speculation or something is said about him. Therefore, not defending himself comes off as admission of guilt. Those people who think that, he has said they are douchebags looking for clickbait. Rodgers also is well aware (he's said this very thing) no matter what he says, someone will make it into something it isn't. His mindset is -- what's the point in trying when it'll never be good enough?

Rodgers is a good dude. He does a LOT that does not get any run on the internet. It's a shame too because it's out there. Others will record him doing good things, write an article about him doing something good. It gets nothing. Someone retired old journalist turned blogger speculates from unnamed sources that Rodgers said mean things about his General Manager via group text and suddenly every sports show in America has content for a day.

It goes back to a lot of confirmation bias. The national media feeds into the preconceived notions about Rodgers by mostly other team's fan bases. Also by the lowest common denominator which is low information dumb asked fans...you know, Americans...Rodgers is extremely intelligent has a very subtle and dry sense of humor...sophisticated for an NFL player. If he is also the guy that was instrumental in kicking your team's ass, you are going to be looking for any opportunities to think the worst of him in order to employ a little schadenfreude action to him, the gbp organization, and its fan base. I like venting here. but it's mostly just emotional bullshit and don't carry it out into the wider ether world, because 99.999% of that is complete biased bullshit. I'm comfortable doing so here because this dumbass, while MIA from here for several years, knows you dumbasses from about a decade ago and happens to respect 99.999% of your opinions.

Zero2Cool (2h) : Watson to have his surgery soon, and should be back around Week 12, with a normal rehab.
beast (3h) : More likely to listen if the guy controlling the ball is the one telling them
beast (3h) : Apparently because players aren't doing the small things when the coaches tell them, and LaFleur believes they're more likely
Zero2Cool (6h) : Jordan isn't a vocal guy. Why not let him lead his way?
Zero2Cool (6h) : I'm not sure it ever bodes well when you have to tell your team leader to be more vocal.
Zero2Cool (6h) : CFL. Nice.
packerfanoutwest (19h) : good luck with that

Martha Careful (14-Jan) : Why is it that the Rams rookies can contribute right away but our first and second year guys are too young to contribute in a meaningful way
Martha Careful (14-Jan) : Yes, Saquon Barkley had a very nice game. But he has a much better offensive line in front of him. I'll take Josh Jacob's. I love the guy
