I want to like Rodgers.
And even with this story, I don’t hate him.

What makes it more difficult is Rodgers wants a good legacy, but he's not going to jump to a podium every time a rumor or speculation or something is said about him. Therefore, not defending himself comes off as admission of guilt. Those people who think that, he has said they are douchebags looking for clickbait. Rodgers also is well aware (he's said this very thing) no matter what he says, someone will make it into something it isn't. His mindset is -- what's the point in trying when it'll never be good enough?
Rodgers is a good dude. He does a LOT that does not get any run on the internet. It's a shame too because it's out there. Others will record him doing good things, write an article about him doing something good. It gets nothing. Someone retired old journalist turned blogger speculates from unnamed sources that Rodgers said mean things about his General Manager via group text and suddenly every sports show in America has content for a day.
