Most likely scenario, imo, based on the history of these holdout scenarios. What would be somewhat entertaining-and lord we Packers fans could use some entertainment in this-
Our front office announces that the differences appear irreconcilable, so we are going to entertain offers effective June 2nd...Announce it now.
So, while the pressure on our front office will remain high...fire Gute, Murphy, yada yada yada, the pressure from other fan bases shifts to the front offices of other teams to acquire him. The perfect recipe for a bidding war and us getting the most out of this crappy situation. Based on everything I have seen so far, if this wasn't orchestrated by Kaaron God gers and his agent, I would be shocked. GBP needs to play an orchestra of their own by abandoning the incognito behind the scenes negotiation game and go public. Let's let the media help us cut our best deal.
...And an FYI as all weigh the various options The NFL cap for 2022 is projected to be around 200 million. That figure would put us hard against the cap yet again, making an extension of Rodgers extremely tough on options as regards pending free agents. The big cap rise (relief, if you will) doesn't come until 2023, projected "as high as" 230 million.

Love this, Nerd. Not one fact in sight, just pure speculation.

I personally think Rodgers slept with Gutekunst's wife and said Mario Odyssey sucks. He's playing some dangerous games.

On topic... I'm impressed that everyone manages to come out as an unlikeable d-bag in this situation. Takes some special planning and talent.

I think I'd trade Rodgers after the june deadline if I were in the Packers' shoes. His age doesn't get mentioned enough in this. Or how in any other occupation this'd clearly be labelled as an unworkable situation going forward. Getting (multiple) first(s) for a 37 year old is ridiculous and allows us to build a great supporting cast around a quarterback who's on his rookie contract. It's the ideal situation... If you believe Love will be what you thought he'd be when you drafted him.

If Rodgers isn't gone this season, he'll be gone in 2022... Or 2023 at the latest. Just get some value for him now and set yourself up for a good future.

Are you familiar with Aaron's tendency to hold grudges?

Rock, all any of us has is speculation. No one here has any “facts”, as neither side has taken the time to give public speech about what is truly going on.
So we fans are left blowing in the wind, trying to make sense out of what’s going on by the tiny tidbits of information that we hear from the media.
I wish we COULD know the whole truth with this situation. It would make it a lot easier to judge who is being the bigger jerk.
But without that, we are left to trying to figure out a 1000 piece puzzle, while only having 100 pieces.

Rodgers got the Mailibu house or at least, he was there recently based on his comments and AJ Hawks comments.

I really do wish people would leave his dating life out of the speculation. This isn't direct at you dfosterf. This is a general statement over what I've observed. It's absolutely deplorable to do -- in my opinion. I've read so many comments bashing Olivia Munn, Danica Pactrick and Shailene Woodley. It makes me sick, absolutely disgusted how pathetically weak minded people can be.

If that is true, we are left with things "out there" like Kumerow as golf partner motivated Aaron to advocate for his retention...as crazy as that sounds, some run with that. I don't see what harm would come to his "legacy", his negotiating position, etc. by coming forward with at least some of his perspectives publicly. As far as $$$ goes, it may be low on his priority list, but I submit his agent may be addressing his feewings with management, but there will be a price tag attached to it, and it's going to be hefty. I would imagine he wouldn't want that part public...I guess we shall see, I could be wrong, but history shows that money is the tool for professional athletes to shave that chip on the shoulder. We all know that might not be good enough for Mr Rodgers, as he digs in deep. IF he wants increased input, that is free.
IF he wants Gute fired, or Love traded as a condition of his continued services, GBP should walk away from the table, fan discontent be damned...imo. The only thing GBP is able to do is give him more input going forward, and give him more money. I think he's gone.

Was reading the comments from a Packers article (dangerous I know) and someone actually posted something insightful.

Is there an authoritarian figure in Rodgers life he hasn't rebelled against and brought confrontation to a head?

-His parents/family
-Ted Thompson (eventually he helped force out)
-McCarthy (same)
-Favre (initially)
-LaFleur (season 1 they butt heads often, partly leading to Love pick imo)
-Gute

Analysing how his previous fights have gone I don't think Rodgers has the capacity to forgive, so I'm thinking this won't go away or be resolved without Gute being fired. Rodgers isn't worth all this headache, if he doesn't report to camp fine him everyday and if he retires force him to pay back every dollar they can extract. If a team in the AFC throws down a big offer trade him, either way I'd be done with this clown.

Edit: this was probably the wrong place for this post. I wish I could take the calm non-hyperbolic path that Kevin and some other wise fans have taken, but at the moment I'm pretty pissed off with the whole situation.

However I'm not sure Murphy would do that, nor should he. Even if Aaron is practically daring them to do so.

Maybe they would just allow a small leak, enough for Aaron to know he is playing with fire.

I fon't think anyone shoukd care about Aaron's personal life. We all support Aaron's personal quest for happiness and fulfillment in his life. However, we do not care for his attitude at times. That said, things wiuld have to go pretty far for the team to do something like that.
